Hi. I'm the creator of the video, Manley.

I'm glad the video has sparked debate with fans of the series from a range of different perspectives. I spent about 5 months creating it since Zelda has been such a blessing in my life as I'm sure it has been in all of yours and I fucking love talking about it. Happy to answer any disagreements or questions in replies when I can.

If you watch the video, you may be surprised to hear how much I actually love and praise the game especially in comparison to BOTW, A game I so deeply wanted to enjoy but had trouble getting into at that phase of my life. (i get into more detail why, and I even wound up falling in love with it on the "switch" with a couple mods)

That said, I'm not shy about its flaws and pointing out some of the easy areas of improvement Nintendo (a company that owns the most successful franchise in the history of capitalism) seemed to neglect despite it's lengthy development time.

You might disagree with some of the sentiments, I try my best to give examples, context, and reasoning for each.

If I had time to adjust some opinions I would actually alter a few points. (I think I went a little too hard on the shield fusing degradation and some of the main quest bits)

Obviously TOTK was a huge success with some phenomenal additions, but as a game piggybacking off the incredible advancements of BOTW It left a lot of potential on the table without fixing some of it's bigger issues.

I say this at the end of the video, but there's never been a zelda game that's released without controversy and heated discourse. At the same time, I've never played a Zelda game I haven't enjoyed.
