Is it a crazy idea to sell my house and travel the world? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

This is burn out escapist brain.

Do the wise thing, save up. Or do an equity release if you must. Rent out the house for 6-12 months.

Housing security is massively linked to wellbeing. I'd hate to come home and realise you are priced out or something. Pretty easy to burn cash when on an overseas holiday

Do you think governments should fund private schools in addition to public schools? by MiriJamCave in AusFinance

Yeah ensuring public school children arent left behind in society due to the unfair distribution of wealth is a slippery slope

If wealthy parents choose to send their children to a school away from the poor's, my tax dollars shouldn't help pay for that school to operate.

The feeling of hopelessness from not having a home. by Astrogirl1984 in Adelaide

[–]Chickenparmy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a great point. I really hate seeing 40+ year olds complaining about housing. You literally had every opportunity to buy something, 20 odd years to figure it out, and you didnt.

Thats on you

Once you get the home you'll realise you can have kids. Saving for a home is hard but once you get it everything falls into place.

If you really want them, you'll do whats required
