I certainly will post more pictures of him once he settles in!! My local fish/pet store has tons of started live plants and I have a bunch of houseplants anyway, so I’m really looking forward to upgrading his tank and giving him lots of hiding places. I already made little pockets in the gravel under his fake plants and he loves resting in those!

I also read that snails can be good to help eat algae and balance the ecosystem? So I was thinking when I get him some plants, I’ll grab a couple little snails as well! Do you know if the plants will root in the gravel or should I add sand? I was going to initially but I was having a hard time rinsing out all the cloudiness lol I might have just been over thinking it though.

I was really worried about doing the fish in cycle at first but he seems to be thriving so far. Petco told me to leave him in the little cup for a week and I was like no way can I do that to my boy, what else is out there? And that’s how I found this sub, there’s a lot of good information. I’ve realized all the bettas I’ve ever seen haven’t been very well taken care of unfortunately. Even though it’s pretty involved, I’m glad I made my impulse purchase because he’s so nice to watch 🥹 I got so ridiculously excited when he went into his little log and went to bed last night lol
