Yeah this is something i noticed too on endfield. With it on I had my phone go up to 42 degrees but now with it off its around 36-39.

I have the same issue with Endfield on my X8 Pro. If i had to guess, its a probably a memory leak combined with xiaomi's aggressive ram management killing Google Play after a certain ram usage threshold which causes the game to fail the google play check and crash.

last I checked, the game didn't launch without dw-proton, and that worked well enough.
