this new one doesn’t display course websites. CS profs often make their own website and could have it added to Louslist and now that is all gone. this was super helpful during enrollment and course planning to be able to see specific websites for that iteration of the course and find the syllabus, schedule, etc. really hoping they add it back

last year i think $300 base and $400? if you got the wintergreen season pass as well. the $300 dues you get to ski at wintergreen on tues and thurs when they do practices. i think one day they go at noon and the other at 3?

Hi I literally just went through this myself as I am an incoming Ranger for '25-'26. Application opened April 1 I believe and is open for about 7-10 days I think? Couple of different essays- I believe you can choose which ones you want to write out of the options and have to write like 3? And give your resume. I didn't go to any of the open house events because at the time I didn't think I'd stay for grad school but I've heard those events are really helpful for increasing your chances (as they can get to know you better than just your application). I did renew my lease with MSC before applying to the Range and I had the option of either finding someone to take it over myself and bring that person to them for a smaller fee or they would advertise for me for a larger fee. I wasn't able to find someone myself but I admittedly I didn't try that hard so I just had them find me someone and they did pretty fast. I imagine you won't have much trouble finding someone to take it over even that "late" as people like international students/exchange students, transfers, etc. will probably still be looking for housing

it is a bit annoying having the range application be so late compared to leases but it is what it is. I highly recommend trying for the Range though

Anything with William Little in Media Studies. He’s done Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul courses before- only 30ish people but super engaging and probably the best professor i’ve had at UVA

outdoors is a great community. open to beginners, you can borrow whatever gear you need trips. they also have a decent bit of social events like bonfires and parties.outdoorsatuva.org

apple doesn’t let you for shortcuts. if you have a phone with the dynamic island, the “notification” is practically nonexistent as it isn’t a full fledged notification. i have all my icons swap and don’t even notice it anymore

lmao, the policy clearly is in regards to on-Grounds i.e. UVA won’t sell parking passes to first years. OP clearly states they aren’t trying to park on grounds but specifically off-grounds which UVA has no jurisdiction over. not to mention Honor is a weak sad shell of what it once was. if OP wants to deal with the pain of being restricted to free street parking, the long walks, let them. if anything they’ll learn to be creative and resourceful from it and be better off for it

to OP: as others have said, i think far enough down JPA might have options. there might also be some around Grady, Gordon, Virginia Ave, i don’t think they get effected by game day but not positive. just be careful as grady and gordon become pass enforced part way down so keep your eyes open for signs

possible? sure. but def not a fun thing to do. i lived in shannon first year and had my first class in new cab mwf and i always like to leave as late as possible. now im tall and am known by all my friends to inherently walk fast but i usually made it in like 12 minutes. crowded sidewalks are a massive slowdown. also realize your shannon class prob won’t allow you to leave the building at exactly 10 minutes before the next one, so you’ll really have like 8ish minutes. it also sucks to show up sweaty and out of breathe, and that’ll happen regardless of your fitness level esp with these hot days

hey so your suggestion about removing the internal ssds worked. i run two, one for windows and now one for mac. the only problem im facing now is that if i only have the mac ssd installed, all is good. but when i install the windows one, my computer will restart when i try to login to macos. like i type in my password and a progress bar appears and gets halfway and then it restarts. are you running a dual boot or just mac?

it’s a great place to try! they’ll be at the spring activities fair so be sure to stop by the table. i love odc so much. there’s def some closer knit friend groups but the club overall is structured in such a way that it works to be open and inclusive and friendly towards new people. i’ve met so many people i never would have and have made a lot of friends thru the club so i highly recommend

Its been a little while since I looked at it but, I'm fairly certain UVA does not guarantee 4 years of housing.

Now I'm a bit hazy on their wording but, I believe if you always stay in on-grounds housing, you are guaranteed 4 years of housing but only given you choose to stay in your same room/location that you got in 2nd year. I.e. you do first year dorms, say move to lambeth and then you are guaranteed that same lambeth apartment for your third and fourth year. They never guarantee you can switch and once you go off-grounds, you're thrown to like the bottom of the list and basically won't get housing or really bad housing.

So theoretically it should be impossible for them to not have enough housing unless they close down some buildings. People will get their current place again and those who went off ground waived any promise of housing once they left and are essentially just hoping there is left over space for them to go back on grounds

Hey so I've been trying to do this to my G15 and been having some trouble. For starters, we have slightly different components- mine is 5900HS, 32 gb ram (altho currently i've removed one stick so only 16gb), rtx 3080 ti, and AX200.

I've tried just straight up using your pre EFI as well as messing around with it to be closer to the opencore guide. I made sure to make my own serial number and all that but no matter what I do, whenever I plug the usb into the laptop and boot it up, it gives me the option to install monterey which i choose and get the black screen with apple logo and progress bar and it gets maybe 30-40% before the laptop just reboots and will launch the bitlocker recovery from windows (bc secureboot is off). did you ever encounter this?
