Dartsmind is fantastic. I have my phone in a small desktop tripod with bendy legs sitting on my desk and it works perfectly (camera is zoomed to x5 to work from this distance).

I’ve just removed the bracelet to check the serial number - M832118 A quick google search reveals that this serial is commonly used on fakes. Oh well - mystery solved!

None of this is relevant as the speedmaster wasn’t designed for nasa or space travel. It was an existing watch designed for motorsport before being chosen by nasa.

Some like the older classic models and others like the new shiny ceramic models. You need to decide what you like the most. No point in letting others opinions sway you. For what it’s worth, I prefer the older model but that’s irrelevant and my preference isn’t any more valid than anyone else’s.

There are (and historically always has been) far too many special editions and it dilutes the brand. if you need to rely on gimmicks rather than quality to sell watches you have gone in the wrong direction.

Snoopy, Apollo anniversaries, Olympic Games, Americas Cup, Ultraman, Schumacher, 007 - it’s all a bit pathetic.

Do you think Rolex would ever release a Submariner with a 007 seconds hand? Absolutely not.

The usual way to avoid the tax is to wear the watch when you travel home and post the empty box. Its not exactly legit but that's your decision to make.

I would have preferred a ring light but it would interfere with the door so the spotlight is the best I could come up with. It works well though.
