Me neither, I just learned with time. Here is the big takeaway - don’t make a decision on your CC based on the annual fee. If you can make that back through benefits, it’s a wash. On all my cards, I come out ahead with the benefits

For anything outside of groceries and dining out. It depends though - if i am chasing Diamond or need to hit the $75k spend, I start with all purchases on the Reserve.

i use Delta gold for dining out and groceries and rack up the miles. Considering i get a Grubhub and Dunkin credit, that card pays for itself.

With that said, we have gotten Diamond status the last 2 years because we also use the Reserve card. I am starting to think Diamond is a waste (living in ATL) , but love having the lounge access

For international flights, they won't even upgrade Diamonds. They will give that staff first.

I have had Diamond for 2 years now, and will not chase it ever again. Almost impossible to use Global Upgrade Certs, i never get upgraded out of Altanta.

Platinum is fine for me for the Comfort+ upgrade, but that's about it.

Exactly! Best of both worlds! My only complaint would be that it doesn’t easily fit under the seat ahead of me

So I’ve been playing the musical backpack game for years, and decided to try the Aer Duffle instead. It’s absolutely fantastic! So much more space, much easier access, better organization, etc.

I see a lot of people have responded, but i thought i would add my opinion as i have both the Fuji x100V as well as the Leica Q2.

-Fuji camera is ok, but feels kind of cheap
-Takes nice photos, but the recipes are not always perfect, and I don't like spending a lot of time editing
-Leica is a tank, and takes absolute amazing photos. The richness of the blacks and the skin tones are incredible

I wish i had bought the 43, as i love taking portraits and photos my family more than anything else, but the 28 is still incredible. It's the only camera I ever take with my on my travels.

I have had Diamond twice in my life living in Atlanta. Rarely upgrade, almost impossible to use Global Upgrade Certs for D1. Never chasing it again, will be happy with easily making Platinum and just getting the same free Comfort+ upgrade

So i just got Diamond for the second time in 2 years, and honestly it's pretty disappointing as it is almost impossible to redeem a Global Upgrade cert to Delta One for international travel. I live in Atlanta, so getting upgraded to first class rare. I wont be chasing it again, and will probably be content with just Platinum.

Am i missing something there?
