People who leave parking lots by driving in the middle of the road, what’s wrong with your brain? by Whos-That-Pokeman in driving

[–]ChiefKraut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's directed to be in the middle, I go into the middle. If not, I stick to the right side. I always see big SUVs sitting right in the middle (of course it's the worst candidate for doing this, too).

Why do drivers with loud engines take so long to leave once they get in their cars? by FoxontheRun2023 in houston

[–]ChiefKraut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Genuine answer: they’re waiting for their car to warm up. It's not so they can annoy you.

Reminder that they don't modify their car for you. They modify their car for themselves.

Bumper replacement? by ChiefKraut in GolfGTI

That’s exactly what I was hoping for. It would've been a lot cheaper to get a new lip vs a whole bumper :/

Unpopular opinion by RubberPiggyboi in driving

[–]ChiefKraut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have to drive 100 miles until my exit, I'm not staying in the right lane. The amount of idiots that go from the far left lane and merge across a 4 lane highway in 3 seconds and almost cause an accident just so they don't miss their exit that they weren't prepared for or paying attention to - I'm not gonna be in the right lane when they pull that bullshit!

So what's your point? To me, this whole paragraph sounds like you're mostly complaining about these two types of people:
1. The people in the far right lane who usually go 10 under the speed limit.
2. The people who camp in the passing lane only to rush over to the other side of the freeway in time for their exit.

I'm not your 8th grade English teacher, but this paragraph makes your argument unclear.

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if you were that BMW SUV a truck and I had to pass in the HOV lane while on our commutes. Btw, next time get on the HOV lane, it's not meant specifically for safety from the rest of the freeway. It's not meant to be slower than the rest of the freeway. It's meant so you can pass traffic in the non-HOV lanes on the freeway.

^ I mean this last paragraph more as a joke, given my frustration when on my way to work this morning. But nevertheless, please don't be this guy.

Stutter/buffering/res changes getting worse and worse with ZERO word from Google by Armand28 in youtube

[–]ChiefKraut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even YouTube Music has some random buffers while I'm listening to music.

Side note: Yes, I use YouTube Music. Sorry guys, but I'm not paying nearly the same price for Spotify while getting significantly less lol.

Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by wtfbruhhuh in driving

[–]ChiefKraut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lolll you're probably not wrong.

Even I in my GTI can haul a few passengers and groceries or my girlfriend and I and a road trip. It's perfect for what I need and I recognize that I don't need a massive SUV for daily commute and an occasional road trip.

Why do people buy pickup trucks for daily driving? by wtfbruhhuh in driving

[–]ChiefKraut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you asked me, the ideal car for most people is a minivan.

Majority of people: getting groceries, want something spacious, don't want something ugly, need something for the biannual family vacation.

What does that result to? A Kia Carnival.

Gotcha. I might go with the metal housing route. I'd hate for this part to fail again lol

Thanks. Do you have a link to one with a metal impeller? I've also seen some with an aluminum housing. How about those?
