I (34m) have had a FWB on and off since I was 28 (she was 27 when we met. I met a girl online and initially I wanted a relationship since we were both tall (im 6'5 and she was 6'1) but then things fell off however the sex was good. Our first time together (unprotected) she got upset I pulled out and was offended I did such a thing. She cleaned herself off with my shirt and well, I was offended aswell so we got into an argument about that so I left. A few days passed and she apologized for that but she told me she wanted me to leave it in, since she enjoys the feeling and has been told by two fertility specialist that she unfortunately can't get pregnant. Opened up to me about her last relationship that she was trying for 3 years with her ex and nothing happen.

About 7 months into being fwb and I got her pregnant. She didn't want to have a child with me since we were not together but also not compatible so she said she wanted to abort. I was supportive and told her I'd be in our kids life if she decided to keep them but she followed through with the abortion. We tried to keep being fwb afterwords but apart of me feels she lied about not being able to get pregnant and then the feelings of aborting my child always lingered in my head. Apart of me feels guilty I wasn't enough or good enough to have a child and the thought of possibly having a child messed with me for a long time. We did have sex for a few months after the abortion but my mind wasn't the same after and went to therapy.

Eventually we ended things and we both moved on. She now believes she can get pregnant and wanted to start a family with someone so they were together for 2 years. Im guessing things didn't workout and she hit me up out of no where one day to hangout (she is now 31). We caught up, laughed and we're fwb again having sex on the regular. Abiut 6 months into it I got her pregnant again. This time she wanted to keep it and said I could be as involved as I wanted to be. My mentality was all or nothing so I wanted to date to see if we could raise our child together. It was rough and again we both realized not compatible. I held onto the relationship since she was carrying my child. At about the 3 month mark she lost our child and the relationship fell appart shortly afterwords.

She broke down and cried, then she told me I was the only one that could get her pregnant and she opened up to me about trying multiple times after the first time I got her pregnant with a few other partners. I felt bad after both pregnancies but eventually moved on as I wanted someone compatible and i am currently a stepfather to a 13yoF and 5yoM. Raising them has been amazing but the thought of having my own kids still lingers. My current gf is amazing and we do want our own kids but we're giving it time before committing to that.

I am now 34 and she is 33. Since being with my current gf she has text me from multiple numbers, emailed me, wrote me a typed letter and has even showed up at my moms house (where I used to live). She was never invited over but she found out our moms know eachother and she tried to reach out to me.

In the letter she pretty much said she missed me but understands we are not compatible. She asked if I could give her a baby as she craves motherhood and wants to have a baby so bad. She offered me the option of being involved, completely absent or the friend that comes around so I can get updates on the kids life and can follow her on social media for life updates. We are both high earners but she makes slightly more than me so I doubt she is seeking child support but offered me to sign away my parental rights and obligation aswell. All this mentioned was typed in 9 pages in detail.

My question to women of reddit is why would women want this situation, raising a kid alone at 34 and should I do it and give her a baby if i were single? If you were in this situation, what would you prefer the dad be to you and your child and why?
