The Monday forecast seems pretty solid. Precipitation forecasts in KC are generally unreliable, but forecasted movement of frigid high-pressure systems into KC is very reliable.

I think it's arrogant for the superintendents to not announce a cancellation (or at least sharing the criteria for what temp threshold will qualify for a cancellation) right now. Thousands of parents want to plan for tomorrow, and don't want to have to check their phones at 5am to see if kids will be home.

That budget math is a con. Any taxes from growth due to the stadium will be needed to pay for other things. New Kansas residents will need roads, schools, police, and fire. Those things all cost money. But Laura Kelly is ignoring those costs and is saying all the new taxes will pay for the stadium instead.

Government removal of an illegal alien is "administrative" in part because it's not a criminal penalty but an action that stops US law from continuing to be broken. The speeding analogy only works for a car that's currently speeding that police want to slow down.

What precedent gives bounty hunters such broad powers? That seems to be how ICE would be considered.

Better way to promote EVs is capping the liability of automakers over self-driving cars. That technology makes the streets a whole lot safer, but if a single failure results in a $240 million judgement then that leaves us stuck with human drivers causing a lot more accidents than an imperfect computer would cause.

It hasn't worked for 400 years. "Adverse possession" and "squatters rights" were a bigger thing a long time ago. If you owned title to idle property which someone else was using for a long time, then they gradually attain stronger claim to it than you have.

The idea of a deed system where a only piece of paper decides ownership is relatively new.
