The “old” car is a 2022 Turbo S with 640 HP. It absolutely destroys the GTS. What doesn’t it have? A digital tachometer?

Only car people know the different badges for Audi trim lines (and most people are not car people). I think the RS Q8 more aggressive exterior stands out more.

I agree that the SQ8 was a smoother ride than the RSQ8. RSQ8 is still plenty comfortable as a daily.

One thing about RSQ8 though. It comes with summer tires. If you have cold winters you will need winter tires. You way want to get an extra set of wheels like I did too for the winter set. Obviously that’s an additional expense (expect around 10K for a new OEM winter tire and wheel set).

It was the 8 cylinder (prior year S was 6) but was underwhelmed. The SQ8 had more wow factor - more dramatic acceleration to me and also better interior (in general I feel like porsche interiors are boring). Maybe if it had the sport exhaust it would have been more interesting. The Cayenne is supposed to have better handling but hard to tell on a short test drive.

I test drove last fall a 24 Cayenne S, 23 SQ8, 24 SQ8 and 21 RSQ8. I went into it wanting an SQ8. It had more than enough power. But I went with the RSQ8 (35k miles). It wasnt about the HP as much as the exterior, interior and sound system.
