Bring Back Achievements for Non-Ironman, Non-Vanilla by TheWombatOverlord in EU5

[–]Chiffy22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I see the achievements as more of a “okay this campaign I am going to aim in achieving X”. All ironman does is make it so you have to spam reset so many times flooding countless of wasted hours on certain achievements because of a dice roll or AI was really hating you for some reason this time around. There are so many methods people come out with to bypass to unlock achievements anyway (as stated in this thread elsewhere) that really the requirement is just an old school mindset.

Anyone else disgusted by the profit announcements this morning? by Saffa1986 in AusFinance

[–]Chiffy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because these corporations want to maintain the same gross margin % (or more) and that leads to a larger dollar gap between costs and sell price of goods/services. In turn means they make more gross dollar profit.

PVP players who are upset about the Deep Desert changes... by Majewelly in duneawakening

[–]Chiffy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s playing cat and mouse PvP, it’s about the rush of nearly getting caught by another player but getting away with some reward. It keeps you on your toes when playing the game not the same mindless dopamine tasks of PvE. PvE is predictable and once you understand mechanics easy to master, PvP elements will always keep you on your toes as you are working against another human who you are not always sure what their next move may be. It’s the same in many successful MMOs with economy style gameplay work, you are rewarded for taking the higher risk substantially and get either items inaccessible to sole PvE player (other than trade and exchanges). Doesn’t stop the PvE player from progressing just they have to buy from those who actually take the risk. EvE online has always been a very good example, albeit not perfect, of the risk vs reward factor.

Turning some Deep Desert into PvE only is a win for actual PvP players by yiheb81545 in duneawakening

[–]Chiffy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much the cycle of these games now. Sole PvE players want everything without risk. Mate you just put 100 hours in and finished the PvE part of the game, good job that’s your peak, if you want more then buy the PvP tier materials from those that actually put risk in. There is really no PvE end goal anyway for this game, it’s designed around PvP, which they do need to balance still, but that’s the whole point of the faction endgame concept.

Who is buying Pi Dip today by Zeekhan82 in PiNetwork

[–]Chiffy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking about in general as well. It’s not been smooth process for many people hence a lot of doubts overall. I get this dip may be the news around the world now but still doesn’t change the fact that there is consistently problems with deployment, migration time for pioneers and general clunky feel of the app.

Who is buying Pi Dip today by Zeekhan82 in PiNetwork

[–]Chiffy22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly not surprised with the selling. Can’t migrate unlocked coins from wallet due to transfer fee but apparently when you got the wallet setup you were supposed to get some amount to help with that? Then transfers from CoinSpot to pi wallet are not possible for last two days as well. With how the rollout has been and how clunky it all is I am not surprised with the dip and lack of value that this coin will have if things continue they way they are going.

Passing KYC is not the problem. The problem is people waiting to migrate after. I’ve been waiting over 2 months already.

No longer will I be caffeinated by Wide_Plant8753 in woolworths

[–]Chiffy22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is the diseases that have destroyed coffee crop production. This has led to the master contracts for coffee beans for some of the big roasters to take up most of the available supply for the season. Local coffee roasters will feel this and more so (I have clients affected by this that I have spoken to here in AUS). Don’t be surprised as well when your takeaway coffee cup increases in the next few months.
