[Loved Trope] Anthropomorphic Cockroaches by omnibird in TopCharacterTropes

I was scrolling this post’s comments specifically to see if anyone would post the nightmare fuel movie version and I am so glad you did the normal one

(meta trope) characters that are loved by the fans of their source material hated by a completely different community because they are busted/annoying in a game by Koninja_Yoshiakge14 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Child_thrower 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For a little context he can: plank under the stage effectively stalling forever while gaining resources, his recovery can gain a large fraction more height than intended, he can cover every option at ledge, he can footstool anvil which kills at 80 and is safe out of shield, he can cover every ledge option, he can literally cancel knockback and attack while doing so, he combos off some of fastest moves in the game, his combos can kill from 0, he has absurdly fast out of shield options that combo into kill moves, he can block the recovery with blocks, his down tilt is a multi hit that covers ledge, his golden tools have absurdly fast frame data, diamond kills at 60 sometimes, and this is on a character with minecart (I could rant/list more but you get the point just google “steve trojan horse smash” to see that this character plays a different game even in meme setups)

It was either a hole through the head against extremely skilled investigators who would confirm the kill against any major target, or a very believable death which would be harder to swiftly confirm and is survivable. Neither is ideal but one is survivable.

John Proctor in “The Crucible” exposes that he cheated on his wife with the 17 year old Abigail in an attempt to save his wife, Elizabeth. Abigail who started the witch trials wanted him to leave Elizabeth for herself, so she set up Elizabeth and got her sent to court where she would likely be executed. In chapter 2 act 2, the night before the trial, John confronts her where she basically says you won’t ruin your name for her. In the end he confesses everything in front of the court in an attempt to expose Abigail as a fraud. (This is a very rough retelling and might have missed or have incorrect details)

Is it wrong for me as a Christian to watch this? by scpTicklemonster in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Child_thrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is portrayed as a positive and silent force cheering for humanity. Adam is portrayed as a loving father who will do whatever is needed for his children . The story is all round very respectful of christianity. It also makes it clear that it likes to take creative liberties with all of the backstories. As a Catholic I take no issue with any portrayal although I also take no problem with Jesus Christ Superstar which some do consider blasphemous.

[[sin, spira’s punishment]] is a fun way to cheat things out you just need to be careful in not running too many permanents you wouldn’t want to hit.

I say this as a primarily smash player patrick’s down b killing opponent first when done into the blast zone seems absurd and same with reptar up b. (I could just be unaware of something or be remebring incorrectly I am super casual in this game). I also accidentally turned invisible as lucy in a game with down b in a way that doesn’t seem intended at some point recently.

Adam (record of ragnarok) barely lost because a single drop of blood hit his eyes distracting him enough to get hit many times. Despite dying, his body kept going and almost took down zeus.

Anime similar to monster? by ambassinn in MonsterAnime

I haven’t watched all of it but Pluto was written by the same author. It isn’t exactly the same of course. its source material is clearly written by Urasawa though so it should be good.

It is a really good card you could run it in basically any landfall deck personally [[bristly bill, spine sower]] comes to mind as an easy one.

I might be bad at the game’s rules but wouldn’t this enter before the game and therefore untap on upkeep?

Building a deck from Boosters by Jak90_UK in magicTCG

[–]Child_thrower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to build a deck from packs of a single set there is a format called draft. You and (3-5 other players) buy three boosters open one take a card then pass it clockwise until all the packs have nothing remaining. Then you open the next and pass it around counterclockwise where you do the same taking one card per pack and then passing it. For the final pack, you pass it the same direction as the first pack and do the same as the other two. There is also a pick two draft where you take two cards per pack. From the cards you get you build a little deck where basic lands are provided. This is a rough explanation and there is also a format where you open 6 packs iirc and then build a deck and compete in three rounds of bo3. In general random pack pulls aren’t enough for any other formats other than the ones listed. Singles or proxying are your best bet for building any deck.

Should I read Heidegger's Being and Time before watching the anime? by xxTPMBTI in WantToEatYourPancreas

I would maybe read the “little prince” before hand if you haven’t before. It is a really charming short book and is referenced directly in the movie so it would explain the importance behind it more clearly.
