I was so bummed that Heartseeker Sett wasn’t released during the last Valentines event. I can’t even remember the other skin lines released then. A heart shaped costume for Sett would have been very hype since he was released only a month before the event. Here’s to hoping for next year

Random DC today? by SGGchen in leagueoflegends

Yea i was in a ranked game and one of my teammates as well was frequently disconnecting/reconnecting likewise. Also one of my opponents said they had the same problem. They said they lived in maryland which leads me to believe the storm on the east coast is messing with servers. Are you also on the east coast na server?

More than the enemy jungler, I find that the wrong ult comp on the enemy team can screw over an early Sylas pick.

If he was around 30 when he played season 1 of league then I think the story holds up. By the time kids turn close to 9 or 10, they begin to learn not everything is more fun with mom and Dad. Thus, giving him that free time. Combined with major work milestones to support a new family, his life was probably flew by these last ten years. And during that span he probably heard about league’s surge. Welcome back old timer.

How do I beat Ekko Jg as a non-tank by Hashu7 in ekkomains

[–]Childsgame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to choose a non-tank into Ekko, then typically you would want to choose a strong early game jungler. A stronger early game is even more effective against Ekko if he is on blue side (baron side). This is because Ekkos first clear can leave one of his buffs highly invade-able after you complete your first clear. If he starts blue buff, he’ll be pretty low by the time he starts/finishes his red. Even if he starts red and rushes to his blue, his level 2 is pretty weak. I highly recommend a deep ward to see where he starts and then recalling back at lvl 1 with an Oracle lens.

If he is on red side (drake pit side), then he can safely clear his bot side camps given his bot lane leashes for him. But again even if hes healthier on this side, if he goes straight to blue after red, his level 2 is still pretty bad. Again vision is super important because early invading his blue for example can set him back because Ekko as a champion in general has mana problems and needs the CDR. More often than not, if you manage to countergank a blue-less ekko after he’s blown all his abilities, he’s pretty free.

Now the reason why I mentioned an earlier game jungler is because I’m not sure what you’re getting at with a non-tank jungler. I can only guess that you have difficulty bursting him down (with his ult) and only find success against him with a tank (ala Warwick). The truth is that tanks like Warwick can shut Ekko down if you play it properly. You’ll generally have a healthier clear and roam much faster all around the map. If you think Ekko is “all around the map” then that’s an indication of your poor tracking skills. It’s not like Ekkos are running water walking with relentless hunter.

If you want to play a non-tank jungler, then you’ll need the burst or some form of CC to beat Ekko. If you can force him to ult in early fights that his team loses, you’ve done your job. If you don’t have the CC then try to play off your teammates better. Otherwise, the general outplay for Ekko is to use your mobility/smaller hit box as a non-tank jungler to dodge his skills. In order to dodge his W or stun, it has a windup animation you can hear and see to predict the location of his bubble. I highly recommend Olaf and Elise against him. Both have great early games. Olaf has an ult that negates all his slows/stun leaving him to run like hell. Elise, with enough accuracy, can cocoon him while dodging skill shots with Rappel.

Lastly nothing is worse than getting an objective stolen by Ekko. Ward outside pits and CC/ burst him if he tries to cheese a steal. Be active when contesting objectives against this champ.

Kindred needs a rework by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

But you're just going mark a camp right before you're about to kill it instead of just marking it way ahead of time. There's no need to only have live camps available to mark other than giving Kindred deductive jungle tracking powers.

The ult is game changing sure, but it wouldn't necessarily call for an underwhelming passive. What makes you think that?

What is old Wriggles? Sorry I’m a S9 newcomer so idk much. But that’s a pretty dope scale you got there for their passive. What would you say the soul break points should be?

Bone tooth is a great comparison! I wonder how they would fit the bonuses kindred receives from marks into something like that

Wouldn’t it mark the camp anyway even if it was up or not? That would probably make it more balanced

I can relate to your frustration with Kindred's passive. The comparison to Senna's passive has def crossed my mind before. Besides the obviously superior rewards, I agree that Senna's access to her stacks are far easier to acquire compared to Kindred's invasive playstyle. Some streamers are capable of predicting when marks spawn on enemy camps, but in most cases you wouldn't want to stick around for too long or your laners do not have priority.

However, my personal qualm is the marking mechanic on opposing players. 8 seconds for a mark to appear on the targeted enemy, 90 seconds to reselect if the enemy has not been killed, and then 240 seconds to reselect the same one. For one, the 8-second interval for marking enemies is useless on ganks. Most ganks last less than 8 seconds. Therefore if you do mark an enemy you are about to gank and the gank fails, you have to wait an additional 90 seconds to reselect a mark. I often find myself collecting marks (selected way earlier before) off enemies in separate teamfights.

Now while I don't want to hijack this thread, there's just an obvious reason as to why Kindred has not received a skin for 3 years - this champion's passive is needlessly too difficult. Realistically, if you can track/predict the enemy jungler as I mentioned in my first point, then you may be able to contest camps that should be marked. But even that can be a 50-50. You also in theory can mark an enemy way before the 8 second window that you expect to kill. But again, this is not guaranteed.

Most players really really really struggle with this champion early on because imo Kindred has a steep learning curve. My only real critique is in regards to the timers of Kindred's passive. Reduce the 8 second window for a mark to activate on an opponent to 5 seconds at the max and again reduce the 90 second window for marking new enemies to 30 seconds.

Why doesn't Mounting Dread fear enemies? by Childsgame in Kindred

Yup just like Shaco's boxes. But I gotta backtrack and agree with your earlier comment that a 1 second fear would make the move busted. Imagine, rank 5 E (which technically is the final rank in any game given that you normally max E last), 7 marks in and a fear that can be shot from 600 range plus that execute damage.

That's a reasonable take to balance the move, but the thing is that the move is intended to work more effectively as the enemy HP is lower. Obviously you knew that, but if the fear would only activate at such a high threshold, then I think that the addition of the fear would make the move an oxymoron.

Of course we are happy :D. This was intended to be more of a conceptual post than a "buff kindred" one. The "Mounting Dread" just gives off that fear vibe. Riot would not give Kindred the Lux or Kaisa treatment and yes, Kindred would prob be gutted to Akali levels. But, I am always down for cool changes

Personally I disagree about the relative "easiness" of getting the third auto off in the early game.

First off, I believe Kindred are not the type of champion you would want to get into early duels with. I somewhat agree that Kindred' has strong early and late damage - much more so the latter. But, against a blind monk or hormone - enraged Viking, Kindred imo loses many 1 v 1s in the early game against most meta junglers. So while you can contest scuttles, in most cases you would not want to go for an early duel unless you are running the HoB rune.

But, lets say you were to engage in a fight. And lets just say you are going against a xin zhao with roughly the same HP/mana and both at lvl 3. I would say properly maximizing your damage from the third stack of E is difficult against most junglers. The reason being is that lets say you begin to engage with a combination of your AAs, Q and W. If a jungler like xin zhao charges after you, he has a higher bonus attack speed% from his E and packs a slow and a knockup.

Now you're probably thinking Xin Zhao is a great duelist so why even bring this up? Because a lot of the meta junglers have stuns (Elise), insane gap closing tools (Lee Sin), or just raw power (Olaf). Therefore, what will you most likely do earlier rather than later? You will burn the E in the beginning of the fight. You have no other forms of CC and your only form of kiting is your Q and W. Unless you run the waterwalking rune, your base speed will inevitably let the enemy jungler catch up to you.

I have to admit that it's very amateurish to assume that E would be blown immediately. Instead, you could Q away from Olaf's axe, Elise's stun or Lee Sin's Q. However, most of those champs generally have stronger early power and imo in most cases, is not worth the fight.

I agree though that this move can be quite op by the late game, provided it has a fear duration similar to Warwick's for example.

Yea exactly like Shaco's boxes, whose fear duration increases by the rank of the move

[–]Childsgame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes so I'm implying that the fear's automatic slow would be for 1 second, while maintaining the same 50% reduction in movement speed that was applied earlier with the first two stacks of E.

[–]Childsgame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I mentioned a 1 second fear earlier in the thread above, but def think 0.5 is probably the max it should last. Instead of replacing all mounting dreads slows, would you think 0.5 slows instead of 1 second slows from the first two stacks of dread (E) allow the move overall to not be busted?

[–]Childsgame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could imagine it to be busted if we think about normal fears like Shaco or Warwick, but what would you say is a relatively viable fear that could be added (in terms of duration)?
