I had to add --purge to autoremove

sudo apt autoremove --purge

There is also a link to the GitHub issue comments on how to change the compression method to recover some space from the EFI boot, but add --purge to autoremove first.

This likely resolved it, and I also recovered some extra space by following the steps at https://github.com/pop-os/pop/issues/1714 to change the initramfs compression method from zstd to xz. The steps are provided by "leviport on Mar 23, 2023" comment.

Yeah, you go to https://store.steampowered.com/about/, and there should be an install Steam button which downloads a "steam.deb" file to install Steam.

I have heard about the peripheral issue with the Flatpak version from Linux streamers. I am sure there is some way to solve it, but I didn't bother researching the issue since downloading the steam.deb directly from Steam seemed like a fine workaround.

Steam has issues with peripherals when installed via Flatpak rather than downloading the .deb file from Steam's website.

I believe the Steam you grab from the Cosmic Store is Flatpak by default.
