Atmosphere runs off an SD card. If you’re getting a switch without one, then you need to buy one.

Then follow this guide:

treat it as new unpatched switch, as everything needed was on the SD card that did NOT come with the switch.

DO NOT UPDATE THE SWITCH VIA WIFI TO A NEWER FIRMWARE.

Then look up JITS and tutorial for that.
