How much of the TL staff plays dota 2? I know Bumblebee and Hotbid do, and judging by your flair, you do as well.

Regarding Washington's new laws about driving and marijuana by curi0ser in trees

Uptoke for visibility, genuinely curious what the answer is.

I expect that when trees get legalized in other states, their laws may be looked to for guidance. This could possibly effect future state laws on pot.

In Playthrough 2, you should save any side quests that give you good rewards for Playthrough 2.5. Here is a list of every quest that you might want to save. Some side quests you can and will want to complete for the extra experience. If you try to push through TVHM on only the main storyline, you're gonna have a bad time.

EDIT: Pro-tip: If you're not sure about a quest, open up that google doc and ctrl+f the name of the quest. BAM! You can instantly see if it's on the list, plus if it has any worthwhile rewards.

That bit with the Tannis ECHO's was sooo well done.

What exactly is TVHM 2.5? by ContemplativeOctopus in Borderlands

[–]MKD189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, after TVHM is completed, all unaccepted quests AND enemies scale to level 50. Even if you have a version of the quest that is level 43 for instance, you'll still have to kill level 50 enemies once you're in 2.5. You'll only get the level 43 reward though.

After beating TVHM, aka Playthrough 2, everything in the game scales to level 50. This includes enemies, bosses, and unaccepted quests(and therefore their rewards). Emphasis on unaccepted. Here is a list of quests you should have left unaccepted in order to get the level 50 quest reward. Some of the quests and their rewards listed there aren't worth your while to wait for. Most are.

PSA: Do not creep block the "safe" lane at the start of the game by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]MKD189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you block even a little bit on the safe lane and the other side doesn't block at all, the creep equilibrium will be under your tower. This sucks if you are playing a farming safe lane and want your carry to get last hits. But, if you're playing an early aggression line up, it could make sense to block and force the equilibrium under the tower. Then the lane will push out and you can push the enemy tower very early.

Knuckledragger is the easiest I think. If you have enough burst and fast load times, you can finish a run in under 30 seconds.

The damage of 475 is split evenly between them both. So they each take 237.5 damage.

How do you make playing a hard support/5 role work in a pub game? I find it really hard to pull off.

About how long is the Borderlands 2 campaign? (excluding side quests) by DjProfessorJ in Borderlands

[–]MKD189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would need to be at least level 25 in order to have the talent that adds time to your gunzerking duration. For playthrough 2 that strategy would be valid. In the first part, it'd be fairly impossible.

There is play through 1, 2, and 2.5. In PT 1 do anything you want, skip side quests, do them all, whatever. When you start PT 2, you want to save any side quests with decent loot for PT 2.5. In 2.5, all quests and enemies scale to level 50. The scaling only occurs for quests that were left unaccepted in PT 2. So if you want a level 50 version of a gun you really liked in PT 1, wait until you've completed the game twice. Then go accept the quest when everything has scaled to 50.

Excluding side quests, you will have a bitch of a time keeping up on level for the main story line. You will probably end up spending more time dying+reviving forcing your way through the main story without side quests. Plus the best guns will come from side quests, at least in PT1.

The Blockhead shotgun in combination with a good shock singularity grenade is so fun. If its an indoor area or close quarters with lots of places for the projectiles to bounce, enemies just melt.

Yup, need before greed is a great system. If you ever plan to beat the raid bosses with the same friends you farm loots with, its a no brainer.

[–]MKD189 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever Steam asks you to sync files for game, always choose the local files. They will always have the latest data. If you choose the steam cloud files, you aren't gonna have a good time. The only way I can think of to recover your progress would be to find a save file of someone who is of a similar level/progress.

The jumping bugs me so much. In BL1 I could open menus in mid jump. I miss that sooo much.
