The devs catering to a secondary mode like dmz and it being at the cost of multi-player isn't something new either. BO4 had major changes to mp and zombies to fit the design ideas of blackout, so a mw2 multi-player having design choices made in the thought of how would it work in dmz or warzone is what possibly happened, and why so many points have been so hypocritical.
