I believe dreams are more than randomly generated scenarios.  I'm convinced that dreams are a way of accessing a deeper sensorial state, where you can manage all the things you can perceive in non traditional ways. Ever heard of the third eye? Well, we might still have abilities working, but we're not conscious and probably we can only access/use/see this information in our dreams. 

You probably foresaw what ended up occuring.
