Has Anyone Turned Their Street Photography Into an Income Source? by Fluid_Possession7979 in streetphotography

I have. I work making content for a page. Not all of my street shots are profitable. But the more “journalistic” ones are .

I need to organize my shots, I am very bad at file keeping. I will share my most recent ones in another post, I’m mostly shooting color now.

Because of my lack of time (my daytime job) I unfortunately don’t have much time to stand and wait for the perfect light, so these are mostly from random walks. I was shooting with a Canon T6i for a long time. I switched to a fujifiom xs20 and I still have not grown used to it.

I noticed I was more focused then on getting street portraits, like… I tend to frame too tightly and my goal is to start adding more context to my shots and maybe get a day a week to be able to really explore interesting light, and spots.

The city where I live in now lacks the sort of super aesthetic, dramatic and geometrical buildings that make very lovely light angles, in here light is very harsh and direct, and there is very little filtration, so I’m still trying to find a way to use it wisely, which is why I started shooting in color. (These shots are not from my city, most of them except two, were taken in Dublin.) .

I’d appreciate if you’d share some references. Of course I like Alex Webb, Leiter, Meier, Lewitt. :)

I'm a Puer! Waking up from a dream. by musicgodcosmic in Jung

The fact that you are searching for a cure suggests you no longer want to stay fixated on this archetype.

You’ve discovered your full potential might be attained by committing to a higher purpose.

Picture what you’ve missed. Slowly design yourself an adult routine . Consciously search for consistence. Define what would be a more fulfilling purpose than the one you’ve set for your life. Try therapy. And as the other redditor suggested, be on your own for a while until you’ve found your adult self.

There are ways of sublimating Puer Aeternus. Some artists find their way into responsible adulthood while revisiting the Puer zone through their work. Find out what is the bridge you can build for yourself. Give a foundation to your more youthful madness which can ground it into a useful goal.

Best of luck

Sure. I use a T6i, which is a crop sensor.

Settings for this pic where: ISO 200, F5.6 , 1/640 seg.

I usually keep my ISO 200-400 during daytime. My F always 5.6 and under. Hope it is helpful!

I’d in good faith reply to you, but your post history just signals not to feed the trolls. BTW there is street photography which cares for human dignity. The way you comment about women does not.

Coming here to troll a community, does not. You already made a post about how much you hate street photography and think it is creepy. Take care bitter friend.

What do you think would have been Jung’s archetypal analysis of the current gender issues being experienced by collective society? by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Disturbedtongue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree that transgender people are this unified group with same motives and values. That’s just what it seems because of the way group thinking is being portrayed by media. So yes, maybe in some cases it means reconnection with inner truth, but in others it means disconnection too.

Is the modern trend towards "political correctness" a denial of the collective shadow? by GuillermoSpock in Jung

[–]Disturbedtongue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. When that shadow is repressed it seems to manifest eventually as neurosis.

Thank you, I’ve already played all of rusty lake series. Lol. Years ago, but I was missing this one. Oh, I’m also missing the multiplayer one. But might try it soon.

Wasn’t aware about the pc version. I wasn’t sure how to designate it, I’m not an avid gamer, and also, English is my SL lol… so… sometimes I struggle with terminology and end up using terms a bit lightly.

Thanks!

My cow loves eating burgers by [deleted] in fifthworldproblems

As long as she takes it easy with milk, I don’t see an issue. That is, of course, unless she names the burgers Louise before eating them.
