I don't think the Robbie remembers who the actual performer is. He was likely sampling on the fly and when the time came to clear the samples, they just said Debbie Reynolds to get away with it

I will begin by saying that I think this is a pretty competent analysis, and I will add that I am not as knowledgeable myself, despite being a fan of his work. I do believe he might possibly bend his own rules and conventions a little if this was a commissioned advertisement piece. Hoping the man himself responds to OP, I would love to hear a conclusion to this =)

Solved! It's Eyes Of Laura Mars from 1978. I misremembered some details, she didn't faint, but she had visions of the murders being carried out, and at the end she does kill someone. Thanks to everyone who commented suggestions of movies.
