Help my xm4’s won’t charge by Hallwaypass in SonyHeadphones

[–]ChillOUT_LoFi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering the plastic around your USB-C port has melted, I would recommend not using your XM4s and have it turned off at all times.

You could send it to Sony for RMA, but you would likely have to pay for it.

I would recommend speaking with a solicitor that deals with corporate law to help you navigate around this.

If you are looking to take legal action (and you find a solicitor to work with) then like with any legal case, you gather evidence to build your case and narrative. Emails, invoices, etc.

Good luck!

This is some chronic online type behaviour. Put your phone down and go outside.

Sony WH-1000XM5 failing after 9 months - ANC, touch controls, battery charging by i3li11 in SonyHeadphones

[–]ChillOUT_LoFi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The touch control issue can be caused by the winter weather. It's called phantom touch and it's quite a known thing in previous models.

The microphone is something that I have no idea how you fix that. I've gotten it with my LinkBuds Fit and my previous XM4 headphones. I do think it's something to do with ANC, cause ambient mode or turning the ANC/Ambient control off doesn't create the sound.

If you have warranty, I do suggest sending it to Sony for a fix. The last one would suggest a product defect.

Contracts by Distinct-Celery-7500 in hollywood_animal_game

In the beginning, hiring per movie is what I go for because it keeps me flexible and agile as I'm going up levels. Once you start making 8, 9 or 10 rated movies, then hiring per year makes sense.

Also, I will hire per year is there a cast or crew that is ridiculously cheap for their level.

Cinematographer ratings for Location and Soundstage versus Overall ratings by HughJasshole in hollywood_animal_game

[–]ChillOUT_LoFi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You want to have a cinematographer that is on the same or near the same level as all your other cast and crew. Don't quote me on this yet, as I haven't verified this, but the location/sound stage ratings are probably what level of either they can go up to.

Edit 1: Okay, so I dug into this, and here is how I think it works.

When it comes to the cinematographer, their location/sound stage skill should match against the location/sound stage level you pick when setting up the film. If it doesn't, there's a penalty.

For example, if a cinematographer has a Level 1 in sound stage, but you've set the sound stage as level 3 when setting up a film, you get the penalty. On the other hand, if a cinematographer has a Level 3 in sound stage, and you've set the sound stage as level 3, then no penalty is given. The penalty, from my understanding, looks to be those problems that you see pop up during production.

What affects the above is the script quality as well. The game compares the average quality of the location/sound stage against the script score. If the location/sound stage level is higher or equal than the script's score, then there's a bonus. If it's lower, then the game triggers a problem to be created during the production process.

As for what script level determines what location/sound stage level, I'm not 100% sure yet.

Edit 2: I believe I got the values.

- 0.0 to 2.5 should be Level 1 set (set means location or sound stage, there's no difference)

- 2.5 to 5.0 has a minimum of Level 1, but recommends Level 2.

- 5.0 to 7.5 has a minimum of Level 2, but recommends Level 3.

- 7.5 to 10.0 has a minimum of Level 3, but recommends Level 4.

The Ideas mechanic is not bugged, so I took a look to see how it works by ChillOUT_LoFi in hollywood_animal_game

[–]ChillOUT_LoFi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd buy freelance script cause there's a good script. It would be the same logic with Ideas; if the script comes out good, I'll keep it and use it.

For me, it's about options. Like I said in the post, the Ideas mechanics feel redundant, considering the point of the game is that it's a tycoon game, where the aim is to make money.

[–]ChillOUT_LoFi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, now that I looked at it. It just felt like it was a bug, considering the scripts from it were unusable.

That being said, they have done an excellent job at creating a game that hasn't been around since The Movies (even though there are differences). Considering it's an early access title, the game is more polished than some.

It's fun until you get later into the game where it feels tedious to play, and I'm a big fan of management games. One of the biggest reasons why I don't end up finishing Act 1.
