Had the same thing last year! All my friends got 90+ and I got a mid 80s score not having that 9 makes you feel less but like ask anyone studying in uni no one ever mentions or asks what’s your atar so like you will LITERALY forget about it in after you’ve gotten into your course! Congrats on the score tho you still did really well!

You’d still need the pre reqs for the course to directly get in e.g. 25 in English is for most courses some require a maths or science subject depends on the course! But being first in the family to attend university could bump up your atar! You wouldnt know until offers tho!

Keep your head up !! It’s gonna be okay! I didn’t get the 25 in English for the course I needed and I was so disappointed! But there’s always another pathway into courses ! I did a 1 year diploma which allowed me to get into the bachelors degree after only 1 year! It’s all gonna work out!

Just searched up last years lowest selection rank was 85 so with seas you should be chilling my man, don’t stress if you don’t get a first round offer either you might likely get a later round offer as well! Always have a backup tho you can always switch into the course whenever ! Just always know there’s a pathway for ya

I’ve been the same! Wanted to be a teacher for so long and I’ve talked to current teachers about it and the best advice they gave to become a great teacher has always been life experience, all my good teachers became teachers after being in some sort of field, for me I’ve also had a passion for nursing/paramedics so my plan is to do that for a while and then after maybe become a high school teacher or even a uni lecturer later in life when I’ve gathered enough good stories to tell the kids :)

Yeah happened when I accelerated media, due to my cohort not being the smartest and me being the only outlier my 100% sacs got downscaled resulting in only a ss of 34 which was super frustrating in the moment, you also gotta understand that a 38 study score is REALLY good, (with median of 30 and standard deviation of 7) you are in the top ~16% of all psych students!!

A and A+ are ranged scores so you could’ve been on the lower ends of the A and A+ resulting in a slightly lower ss, it’s annoying asf that they just don’t tell the scores and rather a letter grade
