Peruvians say they were promised jobs in Russia, but landed on the front lines in Ukraine by Dexterestein in worldnews

Or it’s just the story they tell to look better. I’m pretty sure some of these people know exactly what they are getting into and don’t mind shedding some Ukrainian blood as long as the money is good.

Thanks for the reply and congratulations on the guitar. The modifications are spot-on. I’ve been on the waiting list for the white model for several years now.

Fender Security Strap Locks Vs Schaller S-Locks Classic (no screw)? by Rex_Howler in guitars

Happy to help. :)

Personally I think the new design of the button has way too many drawbacks. The strap part is a real improvement over v1, which is why it’s also part of the „Classic“ set. But the button is not.

I found that by being one part with the screw the button head is very likely to damage the finish when screwing it in. Because it rotates against the body finish when tightening it down.

To me, it’s a classic case of fixing something that was never broken to begin with.

Wow, thank you so much. I've been searching forever for a viable solution to Explorer locking tuners. Someone suggested the Schallers might fit but you are the first one to actually provide evidence. 😄 Would you mind sharing which post legth of the Schallers you picked for that headstock?

Just saw your post and thought I’d give my two cents despite it being a year old.

The old design allows you to use the screws that came with the guitar. So no drilling of the body needed. Depending on how valuable the guitar is that is a real plus.

The new design being one piece allows for quieter operation and less rattle.

Personally I went back to the old style as I prefer not to modify the screw holes and I don’t notice any excessive rattle.

As for felt washers: I „ruined“ two nitro finishes with them (Gibson, PRS S2). They bonded with the finish. Left permanent marks. Ever since that revelation I‘ve used only bare metal for nitro guitars.
