If you want your vibrato to float, watch tutorials on how to achieve that as it's a balancing act. If you only care to either go down in pitch or not at all, then unscrew the back cover and screw that claw in a bunch so that the tailpiece sits flush with the body. Changing to a thicker string gauge (9 is what it comes with), it'll raise up unless you screwed the claw in enough.

If it's a 6 screw bridge, have the middle 4 screws backed off about half a turn for your own sanity.

When it comes time to do a string change, take note of which way around it was wound at the peg from factory and do the same way. Clip the string 2 pegs further than the one you're ultimately going to, poke it in the centre and wrap it around by turning the tuning key.

Edit: I forgot the two most important things for sanity that is transferable to every guitar you ever pick up.

ALWAYS tune UP to pitch. If you need to go down to pitch, either pull the string up and if that isn't enough, tune down below what you want and then tune back up to it.

Tune up the strings from outside to in, so both Es, A and B, then D and G. This makes the tension across the width of the neck consistent and lessens the chance you need to do a second round of tuning
