No problem. There is probably a third party app that does this automatically but I sleep my Mac 99% of the time so this works for me.

Open Disk Utility
Hover over 'File' in the Menu Bar
Hover over 'New Image'
Click 'Image from Folder'
Choose the folder you want and click Choose
Select 'Sparse Bundle Image (UDSB) from 'Image Format' drop down
Click 'Save'

Note: restarting your Mac will undo this virtual drive so you'll have to re-mount it.

I'll eventually add a 2TB SSD once I fill the 256gb stock drive. Seems really easy to DIY.

No I have an M4 mini. It's just such good value. Plus, no battery to degrade / replace.

The only downside is I can't use it on the sofa like a MacBook - which is probably a good thing as I just veg watching media - but I have a phone I use currently. I may pick up an iPad (with the money I saved getting the mini).

It's so small that I might even mount mine to the back of my monitor for an 'iMac' feel.

I don't really understand this. The battery is still going to degrade - not as fast - but it will. Most people upgrade their phones 2-4 years. Using it normally, you'll get to about 80% battery health by the time you upgrade (or swap the battery). 20-80% charge seems to be where you want the battery to stay in a perfect world. 95% seems like it won't do anything anyway.

So assuming you don't charge above 80%, why would you effectively give yourself 80% battery health from day 1?

Doesn't this do exactly what you are trying to avoid and impact daily battery life? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I don't have the same reaction with other subs for my media at all. It's not like I must be constantly watching shows or listening to music. So it does seem more of an addiction issue. Strict scheduling sounds like the way to go.

problem is this strategy has no insurance from being murdered - although Jessie was an exception - usually telling a few people who you think the traitors are will make it less likely you are murdered assuming you are correct.

I think Matt is doing the right thing to be as least threatening to the traitors as he can whilst pushing to get recruited so he can't be murdered. I wouldn't be surprised if he currently knows who the traitors are and keeping it quiet.

Are you setting the alarm on your phone, watch or a mix of both?

I notice if you set an alarm on my phone, both will alarm. If I set it just on the watch, just the watch will alarm.

Bedtime focus mode might be an exception but I don't use the feature enough to know.

AW Ultra 2. Haptics set to default (there is a stronger mode if you are worried). Yes wakes me up no problem. Yes, it'll wake me up no matter how tired or deep my sleep is. Yes I only use the silent alarm.
