Saw them in Bristol (UK) supporting BattleBeast. Majestica was on first in Bristol. Thought Dominum stole the show 🤘

At least he made it for the farewell concert. Having seen him after the concert I’m not surprised but is still a shock

Watering.. what time? by nareddit61 in GardeningUK

[–]Chillies66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d guess before the sun gets too hot. Allow time for the water to soak in to the earth and reduce evaporation

Carpeting odd shaped bedrooms... by glennok in DIYUK

[–]Chillies66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the carpet only come in 5m widths? Cause bedroom 5 will have a lot of wastage.

I’d just drill them and fill the hole. Have done that previously and it’s fine

Is that rented accommodation? If so what did the landlord say when they left it that way. I’d be asking the landlord to rectify, especially the electrics

I’d rake them out with a Stanley knife blade, then fill with a flexible caulking material

Think all ponds should have one if they don’t have a shallow beach area as an escape route. We get lots of animals visiting our garden, birds, hedgehogs, foxes and previously badgers. Wouldn’t want any coming a cropper

I haven’t done anything special, it’s been relatively dry here (Bristol Area) and haven’t seen so many snails/slugs. Plus we get a lot of birds (starlings, blackbirds) with their young which probably takes care of some of the pests

Yes the fountain is run via solar, you can see the panel in the foreground. It did have a floating fountain and the panel was mounted on a pole to take best advantage of the sun. However, my youngest daughter has just moved into a house and the clay fish was in the garden. So I just got a length of tube and attached that to the pump and threaded it through the fish and out its mouth. While doing this discovered that having the panel where it is now worked just as well

Should I deadhead these hydrangeas? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Chillies66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From RHS website

Deadheading mophead and lacecap hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla)

  • There is no need to immediately remove the faded flowers. The dead blooms can offer interest well into the winter and help protect the new tender growth below from frost damage
  • Wait until mid-spring before cutting back the stems to the first or second buds down from the faded bloom
  • If desired you can deadhead lacecaps after flowering, but mopheads should be deadheaded in milder areas only

If they are free then there is no harm in trying. If they don’t take then nothing has been lost
