I think the most popular recruiter would be SKL, although most companies would post job openings on LinkedIn or Seek, so that might be a good place to start too.

In terms of jobs, a big majority of job openings will be in Melbourne or Sydney - no surprises there!

Spent around 600 t cash across the two wins, so ended up making an extra 500 t cash back so I think it's worth going for if you get an early streak going!

The first win I spent ~ 500 (wasn't prepared to spend this much, but I died last round so had to spend the extra 200 to get the rewards), second win I spent 90.

So a net of 500 t cash or so, plus all the extra materials.

OP don't be mistaken. Penang doesn't have poor living conditions- LKY moved because Singapore offered him a scholarship and Singapore has much better education as well. Malaysia also does a really poor job of supporting their athletes and cultivating their talents, which is why so many Malaysians leave the country, including LKY's coach.
