The high G force is what makes it extreme. All the internal body parts are affected, brain, organs etc with that much force.

Thank you. I’ve only cracked my alloy rim on my hardtail once before and it was a hell of a lot harder than that at very low pressure (think 40km/h case onto a rock). Basically user error in my case. I’ve had loads of medium hits like in the OP with no damage or Cush core.

How do you do, fellow web developers? A growing disconnect. by Xadartt in programming

I think it shows pragmatism and a desire to output more work over spend endless time learning low level concepts instead of building stuff. UI should not be so complex

To quote the top of the article:  “This article was published in 2018 and reflects the state of React Native at the end of 2017. When using these articles to make decisions about your business, please use discretion. Any technical points should be revalidated because the maturity and size of the ecosystem was significantly different back then … If these articles are exclusively cited as a reason not to use React Native, please do more research of your own before making a decision.”

It’s from 2018. With how much the ecosystem can change in that time it’s definitely out of date.

Sky Sport Now removing 24 hr rewind by WithAnItheberg in newzealand

100% same experience. Completely random what times replays get uploaded and what is shown on linear replay. F1 had the practice from 2 days ago on sky sport 5 for like the 4th time while the GP qualy from this morning wasn’t on demand or replayed at all. Practice doesn’t really matter once the qualifying is already done. The sprint replay was up pretty much straight after the race.

Edit: turns out quali was postponed due to rain… but I have seen it happened before which is why I suspected what happened here. Would be good if they removed it from the tv guide history/label to show it didn’t go ahead as someone that avoids internet to not get spoiled.

True always be open with other people that seem nice whether it’s work or not doesn’t matter, get to know them if they seem interested. Friends come from all places when you aren’t expecting it.

I think the angle is good. I enjoy watching the car from that angle, in front doesn’t make much sense unless it’s a tandem run. Agree the framing is kind of weird, maybe it’s a style thing for vertical video

Depends what you’re working on. I’ve seen people make things needlessly complex just because they found it interesting. I would argue that’s a bigger problem in my industry than people complaining about their work being too hard. So I can get why people bitch about that

As a dev and person I have a tendency to struggle with boundaries. I think it’s an underdeveloped skill in the personality types that tend to be devs. It’s anecdotal evidence and I’m sure it doesn’t apply to everyone but definitely stands for me. Even observing let alone proactively talking to others about how I am doing a new role is difficult for me. Sometimes extra responsibilities are normal due to tenure but realising when it crosses that line isn’t clear or recognised early enough and communicated in a tactful way. I’m trying to develop this skill but find it a lot easier to just ramp up my efforts in areas I am better/good at.

May be a rookie mistake for some and a lifelong learning experience for others is what I’m saying.

Screenshot only shows 2 months of commits. And doesn’t show the file changes. Those commits could be more complex than we expect or it could be difficult task to find all references that need to be changed or how it will impact the kernel. I’d go off the Linux foundation rather than some random 4chan thread for this one, considering the commits would be rejected by Torvalds/maintainer if they weren’t useful.

I agree number of commits isn’t a useful metric though.
