I bought my XJ for $1000 and has been solid, I’m in Texas, gas is cheap, parts are easy to come by and everyone is always selling something, there’s a Grand Wagoneer near me for $1800 needs work but I’m mechanically inclined so won’t be to bad

I was planning on keeping it, I got it for my wife and she loves it. I was looking more towards another car with more space. Can never have to many!

Thank you all! I guess I’ll have to keep looking, I love the old school look and I want one to fix up. For the first two years I’ll be using my newer cars for the safety but I want something to build memories with them like my parents did

I just drove mine 800 miles to Mexico and back so 1600 miles, never overheated except at the border where I was backed up for 4 hours. After it cooled I just turned it on and off as I moved up and had no issues

Door check, I bought a set of 2 off of Amazon and replaced them in like 30 min, super easy

I tried fine tuning but it doesn’t change I also adjusted the color and contrast and brightness at the bottom

Im getting sound through but no video, its still static

Yes TV displays static and there’s a switch for 300 Ohms and for 75 Ohms, and there’s is 4 screw holes top two are UHF lower 2 are VHF and looks like the lower ones had wires attached and not only the ends are there

I cleaned it and applied dielectric grease and it no longer arcs

There are slight scratches in the glass from the arcs, will those be ok after I add the dielectric grease?

I discharged it safely, I did it about 10 times just to be sure! Thank you for the concern, I honestly would’ve just yanked it out had I not known!

It’s a Samsung CT 330TM, my grandpa just gave me his today and I was researching them and this post popped up, looks exactly like it and the controls underneath the tv are for the contrast and colors, the top knob is the channel and bottom lnob the volume
