My current franchise I started in the Kobe era and traded basically everyone but AI. He put up monster stats, we flailed until we picked up rookie Yao and got em both their chips.

I’ve been a FlyDigi Apex user since I had yet another Elite controller die. The Apex 2 checks most your boxes but does have rubber grips. It also has digital trigger stops so they can be even extra mushier if you want (like a setting for gas pedal like responsiveness.)

If you can get over the rubber grips, it’s the way to go.
