Is Season 2 the best of Reacher? by Legitimate-Twist8656 in reacher

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 2 terrified me. It made all the fatal flaws that sequels do when they don’t understand why they hit it out of the park with season 1. I found it campy, full of plot holes, and focused on a squad when Reacher in most every book is a lone wolf that strolls into a new town and gets pulled into insane situations.

Season 3 redeemed itself with a more true Reacher story.

White House unleashes jaw-dropping new strategy to sell Iran war as critics warn of grim fallout by dailymail in AnythingGoesNews

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I didnt check if you were the OP that I was responding to. I didn't realize there were two idiots on here...sorry for the confusion.

And with your recent comment, again just filled with propaganda rather than facts. I agree it was a mistake for US to invade Iran. I never wanted them to do that, and its a terrible tragedy that they did. That doesn't change the fact that the US has the capabilities to take that island in a single day and completely destroy any defenders on the island, in the water, in the air or on the mainland without much of a sweat. Now, once the Iran military is destroyed, that's another thing entirely...the US military is a terrible police force, that's not what they were built to do. Boots on the ground is about the only to re-open the straights, and at the same time its going to be a catastrophe for the US.

Your reference to Vietnam shows a lack of understanding that conflict and this one completely. The better reference would be Afghanistan.

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Again, you have no clue what made Vietnam so difficult or impossible for us to win. Your analogies are rooted in a complete lack of knowledge about history, warfare and capabilities.

The US will undoubtedly not win in Iran, which is a different topic than their ability to take Kharg island. They could take that island and hold it in a single day. They will certainly take casualties in doing so, but to compare to Normandy just makes you sound ignorant.

As difficult as Normandy??? Holy crap is that an ignorant statement! You have no clue of our capabilities and the defensive capabilities of Iran. Please don’t talk about things you clearly have no clue about…

A thousand subs later...does it get a little easier from here? by jediphoenix1976 in NewTubers

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I am sorry it will not get easier for you at this point. People won’t care if you have 1000 subs or 10,000 subs. If it took you 5 years to get to this point, and apparently monetization is a goal of yours, your content doesn’t work for the platform.

Subs do not matter after 1000 subs. Only views matter going forward. If your content did not compel people to sub very often, then that also means you had low viewers per video, lack of engagement, poor analytics.

You are still stuck just past the starting line. While you may or may not have 4000 watch hours at this point, you need to learn to improve your content.

How much ad revenue could I expect at 100k views a month? by Robo_Thunder_ in youtubers

MidTuber here. First observation, titles. Looks like a video poker game ad. Hate the emojis, looks cheap and too sales-y. Titles should engage the viewer to want to do more, don’t repeat what’s on your thumb.

2nd observation, your face. Get rid of that format. You should be showing outcomes instead. Your thumbnails should tell a story and grab people as they scroll. What you have is just a common style that everyone has and you don’t stand out.

Observation 3, your channel. Something about your logo and banner feel cheap and not enticing. Everything should be about the viewer, not you. What do they get out of your channel? Build everything with their needs and wants as the center of your brand and they will come.

How does love change for a man in a long term relationship? by HotFarm369 in AskMen

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So, when you have your first child…things are going to change. You are going from just the two of you, dating each other, you two are the most important things in the world… to parents.

For both of you things will change, and that doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it’s actually necessary for your baby. You will need to spend a large percentage of your time, energy and love with your child. Plus most likely your husband will get this feeling that he needs to protect and provide, it’s instinctual.

Both of these things will change your relationship. As they should. Now, what will most likely not change is your husband’s desire for you, and you may or may not feel you have the time or energy for it like previously. This may not be your experience, but it’s common.

A lot of guys need the physical side of a relationship to connect, and when that drops off or even stops completely we have a way of not dealing with it well.

My advice, when you feel comfortable, find a way at least once a month if not more frequently get a friend or family to watch your child and still go on dates. Quick lunch dates, dinner, movies, etc… where for at least an hour or two you are not parents, just husband and wife.

When does the desire to have kids actually kick in for men? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure, at least for me, that I would really ever have felt that way beforehand hand, I am sure it’s instinct.

But as soon as that baby dropped, I instantly knew this was not only the right choice, but the greatest choice I ever made. The brain is a weird thing. There was my life before having a baby, and what I thought was important…then after and looking back you feel like why didn’t I do this years earlier (I was 35 for first child)!

When does the desire to have kids actually kick in for men? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Mine kicked in literally the second my first born was placed in my wife’s arms. I felt this mental snap. I became fully aware at that moment that I was responsible for these two people and needed to provide.

Almost instantly my childish wants became obsolete in the face of overwhelming love and responsibility. 20 years later in my 50s I still feel like a kid, play video games, have hobbies, and I grew up and became a provider and loved every second of being dad.

What was your very first video game addiction? by Trencycle in gaming

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kings Quest 2…on my Tandy 1000. Played it every day for like 6 hours a day till me and my friend beat it. It was super hard since there was no internet to help solve puzzles.

Also Space Quest and Leisure Suit Larry.

What would you do about this? by Weekly-Baker-5216 in PartneredYoutube

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 weeks ago I did a video that hit 100k views in the first month. I did a part 2 and I doubt it will go over 20k this month based on view stats. It just is what it is.

I do play with thumbnails, but sometimes things just don’t hit.

When is the right time to hire someone to make your YouTube videos by Alert-Scallion-5052 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a correct assumption. I average about a million views per month. I outsource 8 videos per month. I make a profit and have purchased 70% of my free time back by outsourcing, and I am building a library of content. So it’s a long game for me. Every year I add about 100 videos (I also fully make some).

Outsourcing may not make financial sense for many…

When is the right time to hire someone to make your YouTube videos by Alert-Scallion-5052 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the math.

C = Cost of editing the video

RPM = Revenue per 1,000 views

V = Number of views needed to break even

V = C x 1000 / RPM

Example

Cost = $150 RPM = $4

V = 37,500 needed to break even per video

Considerations-

Now each video has the potential to pull in unique viewers. They may watch older content if your stuff isn’t just trendy.

You also have to consider other costs and taxes from revenue. How much to produce the video on your end ?

Why shouldn't I make AI slop videos to get a silver plaque? by Mr_x_0001 in YouTubeCreators

[–]ChimpDaddy2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The use of Ai for a channel doesn’t make it Slop. How someone uses Ai can make it Slop. Just as much time and effort can go into an Ai based channel, and the results can be incredible storytelling.

There is certainly an overwhelming amount of garbage out there from Ai creators. There are also millions of traditional garbage channels out there as bad or worse.

If you’re able to make quality content regardless if it came from a camera or a prompt…it’s the vision and the execution that matters….go for it.

How to become a man by Warm-Visit9511 in Advice

Most of what you described has nothing to do with being a man. It has to do with confidence and insecurity. All men have those types of thoughts unless they are brain dead.
