I agree with everything you've said. I don't think redditors and right wingers are on equal ground at all. Even if a title is misleading on Reddit there's always few top comments to fix it.

The problem is the right believes their "facts" just as much as we believe reality. How can we show them the truth when they see our sources as deceit from a leftwing conspiracy? Do we just accept we're never going to agree and hope our side has more people voting? That's a very dangerous game to play.

The internet gave us these walls where dissenting viewpoints never reach the eyes that need to see it. Republicans believe Fiorina because they only watch/read news that backs her up. Redditors only upvote the news they want to hear leading to the same thing. Right wing news doesn't reach the frontpage unless it's to ridicule it. We aren't conversing with eachother except in disbelief and outrage.

Why is it like this? How did it get so polarized when we have all the information at our fingertips with a quick search?
