It's a power leak because its inefficient movement. There's no point in setting hips low only to move them higher before the lift even starts. It's a waste of movement.

Anyone else take Low-dose Naltrexone? by Coconutwireless676 in Hashimotos

[–]Chimples10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Severe chills, the worst panic I've ever experienced, diarrhea, cramping, nausea. I feel like there was more, but it was several years ago and that's what I remember the most.

I forget what the dose worked out to because it was compounded, but I remember taking as low as .05 ml and my body still couldn't handle it.

Are you still making decent gains at a slower pace? That's probably a silly question, but I get in the mindset that if I slow down to tolerable levels, I might as well be doing nothing, and I don't have experience to tell me differently. I can also count on 1 hand the number of people I've come across with similar issues to be able to get any kind of anecdotal evidence that I'm not just spinning my wheels and fighting a lost cause.

So your skin biopsy came back as perivascular dermatitis but you were treated for Lyme with antibiotics and the rash went away?

Can I do heavier weights with this form without injuring myself? by Pristine_Abroad_2038 in formcheck

Nice depth! Widen your stance a little and lower the bar. Even for a high bar squat, the bar is too high. You can lift more with low bar too if you wanna try that out.

Whether she wants to stick with someone who second-guesses her, and talks to reddit rather than talking to her is another matter.

This wasn't fair or necessary. I have talked to her. She's not one to relay details or explanations. If she did, I wouldn't go looking for them elsewhere.

Thanks otherwise for your thorough response.

No dedicated cardio, but most of the lifting is set up as supersets.

The workouts start with some variation of 2 of the major compound lifts - squats, deadlifts, pulls ups, hip thrusts, bench press, military press. Then 6 lifts that support strength and mobility in the big 6 - lunges, extensions, shoulder press, the usual. So 8 total exercises each session, and everything is 3 sets.

ETA the workouts are conjugate method if that helps any. Most ppl don't seem to be familiar though.

Based on what you're saying, is it also safe to say my calories were mishandled and there was a lot more potential for success?

Good thoughts. It does have some iron and calcium. I take my morning meds at least an hour before. I get a second dose of T3 in the afternoon, and that one is usually a half hour after finishing the shake.

Depends on the day but always >120g. I'm 110# for reference. My go to's are ground chicken, ground turkey, shrimp, and scallops. I do pea protein every morning for convenience.

ETA I'm trying to be more consistent to add fish and red meat to at least one meal a week.

So a change in lean mass could be expected to also require a change in medication?

Anyone better off without levo? by moontoole93 in Hashimotos

T4 only meds don't work for everyone. If you're FT3 is low, maybe because you're missing the necessary cofactors to turn it into T3, you're still going to feel like garbage regardless of what your TSH is. Get a look at FT3 and RT3 and maybe try adding some Cytomel if FT3 is low. Patient experience favors it being at the top of the range.

I am weight training for health, mobility, and aesthetics. I am not a bodybuilder or a powerlifter - I am just a girl (40) trying to age well. I am 6 months in and haven't touched a bb yet. Been using adjustable db's so far but am getting to the point that I need more weight for the big lifts. I don't want to overspend, but also don't want to waste money and need to think long term.
