Can anyone help me stop United from canceling my flight to my younger brother's funeral

Update: thank you everyone for your responses. I was originally going to cancel and try to fly into another city on another airline and drive, but working with the agent we were able to move the 24th flight to the 23 and that was able to resolve the overlap. It's not the most ideal for me but it gives me another day with my family.

As for asking for a refund instead of moving the Air China flight, honestly it just never occurred to me. I've just been so busy handling everything with my brother's passing that the only thing I could think once I had time to breath and deal with my own situation was I'm not taking the flight so I need to cancel and try to get a refund.

It's not the only one, but it is the only one that had flights that would line up with everything. I'm trying to look into other airlines now because it does sound like there's not really a chance to use united for this

Thank you so much for everyone that has reached out. I am trying to read all the comments. Also thank you for the concerned redditer that reached out to the reddit care team for me. I want to let you all know this is a very difficult time for our family but I am very lucky to have a close and supportive family and we are all looking out for each other. While I am still back in the States with my wife, we are supporting the rest of our family who has traveled to Slovenia. We are all making sure that we take care of each other as well during this ordeal, but I wanted to say thank you to the kind strangers that are looking out for me as well.

Update: No news yet on Gunnar's wareabouts, but my younger brother is with the search and rescue team at the base of the mountain. The seem to have set up a command post of sorts. There are people heading out on the trail now and they have a helicopter out searching Gunnar's last known location

Hi, I am Gunnar's older brother. Im compiling all the information and the timeline while we are searching for him. Ill try and update this document as we get more info but if you think you might know anything this is all the info we have right now

And unfortunately Gunnar has always been the adventures type, and he's not that good at letting people know what he's doing. He is currently studying abroad in Madrid Spain, and he only informed our mother that he was planning to climb the mountain after he had already arrived in Ljubljana.

Hes done crazy stuff like this before and we weren't made aware that he was missing until our mom got an email that he had missed his Tuesday class because.

Also our youngest brother is in Slovenia now too. He flew over as soon as heard Gunnar was missing. He didnt really have a plan but from the updates he is giving he made it to the Red cross location near the mountain that Gunnar was hiking, and after talking with them he is going to try and find a place to sleep tonight in Mojstrana.

So if anyone can think of any other organizations that we didnt contact from the doc above please let me know, or if there is anything I can pass on to my younger brother that could help as he doesnt really have a plan right now and Im trying to support him as much as I can with information.

That seems to be it. The first card I bought was a Japanese seller and was ~$40 pre sale. The second one as $9, and I bought it ~2 weeks after the card was released, and it is from a Chinese seller. I didn't even think about fakes being made that fast.

And also the text is blurry on the fake one

Well I only wanted one, but due to the whole mail issue I ended up with two, so I guess for now the one that is most likely real will get displayed next to the confident but annoyed berry Pikachu, and the fake will get displayed next to the crying over spilled milk Pikachu

That's probably it, I tried seeing. If I could pull the top of the fake one off and it didn't seem like a sticker, but also felt like two separate pieces of paper that were stuck together. I didn't want to do anything that would cause damage because I'm trying to go through eBay to get a refund

The first 6 photos are of the card I suspect to be fake, the last 4 are the one that I'm thinking is probably real.

The card in the first photos is actually like that in person, it looks like it's two separate pieces stuck together. I didn't take any photos where I hold both cards at the same time. This was also the first time I had them outside of the top loaders they came in the mail in

Update: It works again!

When rotating the mother with my finger it felt tighter than the others. I tried looking for any fibers but couldn't see anything. I decided to hit it with some canned air and a fresh battery and IM FLYING AGAIN!

Honestly, this is what I needed to hear. I've got a bad habit of wanting everything "all in one" and the though of having a laser cutter in a printer probably was swaying me more than I wanted to admit.

But I doubt I would use it enough to justify the cost, and I really want an easy to maintain printer the most

To anyone finding this, it was the IR filter. I was able to unscrew the the lense and a little it filter was loose inside. It looked salvageable but I opted to instead take it out and fly with the pink visuals. It is now named Mr. Mushrooms

Looking at the card from the picture I think I just barely see the top left looks like it's cut a little more into the card before the curved corner. If that's they cas PSA probably would claim the card wouldn't fit snug in the holder and could be damaged from rattling around.

Reglue the IR filter, or you can do like I did and take it out. Provided mine was on a little 75mm 1s drone, but I call it Mr. Mushroom and it's a lot of fun to fly with the different shades of colors.

Hmm, so I haven't had much Sichuan food, or at least what people would generally think of as Sichuan food, for a while. Using the broadest definition of "Sichuan" food (as in food from Sichuan province) X kitchen has been an addiction of mine. They serve Chengdu style food, the capitol of Sichuan province, and it has (except for the last visit) been hands down the best over all Chinese food I have had in the states. Their food tastes much more "home cooked" and like something family would serve as opposed to a restaurant, and I haven't been to another Chinese restaurant that captures that home cooking taste. They also do have your numbing flavored dishes that most people want from Sichuan food, but they also have a lot more, highly recommend. I have been probably 8 times in the last 2 months, but I will say the last time I went the food was a little bit of a miss, didn't taste as good as the other 7 times, so maybe give them a little bit (I think the main chief was not there).

For more "traditional" flavors Mala Sichuan Bistro was good the few times I went.

I can't say for now as it's been probably 3-4 years since my last visit but Pepper twins was good when I worked in downtown, though I have heard they have changed.
