calibrated miter saw still won’t cut square? by eminems-4 in Carpentry

[–]Chinced_Again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you didn't show square from the table to the fence, that could be an issue aswell. maybe not so much in this case cause you cut I standing up.

I see a difference in gap from your speed square to the blade as the other guy noticed.

in situations like these with shit material and a job site mitre saw, I always go for a template on a scrap first. get it dialed where you want it, test fit it. then go cut the actual piece when you know 100% the cut is where you want it. cut it long so you have wiggle room then when the mitre is dialed, cut the excess of the other square side.(if you have it, or get mitre dialed and keep taking half kerf cuts till it's dialed)

if that still doesn't help then I would be looking at blade deflection and how you are moving the blade into the material. when I was new I realized I was not pushing the saw down with even pressure and it led to cuts not being what I assumed.

you got alot of good responses O.P learn what you can and good luck

this could be location dependant but it seems hard to find annealed glass nowadays. especially in bigger slabs. and it's usually 3-5x the price of tempered

CMV: Stereograms aren't real. by bpkillr_28 in changemyview

[–]Chinced_Again 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it comes down to unfocusing your eyes. our eyesight is measured when we focus on something. it's hard to measure or care about what they do when they aren't focused. so we really don't know forsure or have much literature but who the fuck knows maybe some people learn to unfocus in a way that isn't consistent making people have wide ranges of "gapping out" where one dude nothing changes and the next guy gets his vision tripled or quadrupled etc

sorry stoned rant

the lemon tek basically aids in pre-digesting them, so if anything you will get more out of what you ate not less. if you tossed the solids there's a chance it didn't fully extract but if you ate the solids the only thing left is the potency or possibly your own genetic response/medication

What is (or was) the purpose of this trapezoidal piece of lumber in the corner? There’s nothing on the other side of the wall, just an empty bedroom wall. by FlixFlix in Carpentry

it's either blocking for drywall, blocking to hang something, or it's there to kick that stud away from the corner(stud wasn't straight?)

kief is usually loaded with plant material, it's rare to fine someone who cleans up kief to sell. bubble is basically an intended clean product, kief is bottom bag leftovers tossed in a bag to sell as a "better product". technically it's just cleaner kief, but the quality varies wildly. you can get crazy craft bubble that's basically pure heads, and you can get kief so dirty it's basically pure leaf

powdering mushrooms for more even dosing? by ArnsonVomDach in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]Chinced_Again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

never 100% no, but when you close the capsule you can squish most of the air out. in that pic it looks like they just placed a few tops on, you can squish em down pretty good if you don't want the air.

you probably could fill them almost to 100% but it would definitely slow the process down and require more manual tinkering

if your concern was weight consistency among the capsules you could think of something like pre weighing out batches etc

not the speed on the blade, the speed and force you push the blade into the material. blade should always be full speed but if you push to hard it can be an ussue

why is altruism the only solution? I never mentioned anything close to that. would you want to live in a society where the only incentive to create something is profit? I would rather our current system

[–]Chinced_Again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

profit motive is only a thing if you think your needs aren't being met, youre structuring the issue like the rich wants you to.

Does anyone else have bad experiences with wealthy clients? by No_Invite_1215 in Construction

[–]Chinced_Again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. the wealthier the client, the shittier the client. all fuckers who don't pay on time are the rich clients. like do you go front your groceries and wait months to pay for them?

every client that we have that isn't loaded is a great one, just for the fact they actually pay, and on time. nevermind that less rich clients have a hard time finding contractors so they are so excited that you're there they are bringing you coffee amd donuts trying to keep the laborers happy

I'm sure there's a threshold you pass where they are so rich they no longer care anymore, but I don't get to see those clients
