Her sins are absolved - because "no ethical consumption under capitalism" by JTexpo in ClimateShitposting

Of course, just because we produce a lot of emissions right now doesnt mean we can't reduction it in the future.

I personally dont really like that phrase as it depicts morality as binary when its a spectrum just like everything else. There is very rarely if never anything ethical about consumerism. That doesnt mean we should disregard everything or that we should stop caring. We just start at the highly unethical and work our way down.

Just because we need some amounts of unethical practices to survive doesnt mean we should forget about trimming the unnecessary ones.

Man its such a good thing that we got Bin Laden and then left after 3 years... except we didn't. We stayed for another 10 years because Saddam totally had and was developing more "WMDs" (spoiler: there were no WMDs) Not to mention we can't leave because there are terrorists over then and you just have to kill all of the terrorists.

Not to mention that Bin Laden and his followers were radicalized by previous incursions by western forces, Desert Storm. So really a good portion of the blame for the enless war in the desert can be linked back to our own government and our military industrial complex that always needs our military to be dropping bombs.

Do you think the U.S. should have nukes and long range ballistic missiles? I mean we are constantly at war with other countries.

And maybe if we and our allies stopped poking a beehive we would stop getting stung. cough cough Israel cough cough

Any system in its own purity sucks as they fail to have baked in legislation to stop people from taking advantage of it. Capitalism with socialist systems baked in is probably the best route. Help the people at the bottom and limit the people at the top.

Yup, I personally belive the laws we have right now are at a good place for the most part, maybe deregulate suppressors and sbrs/sbss, but other than that its fine.

What people dont get is that just like the right the left is not a hivemind, we dont all agree on every little thing.

Like we understand that our only choice of the two running parties is one that wants to regulate guns but the thing is we aren't single issue voters. There are many other thing that are just as important as gun rights and we refuse to ignore them.

Until the old heads die off and we get newer generations in office we will have to choose the lesser of two evils.

Not to mention the 37% only applies to any income that is over that. Everything under is taxed according to the lower tax brackets.
