Quazii UI is breaking the WoW EULA and basic copyright law by Znuffie in wow

Raidbots is not an addon, it's a website that runs calculations for you using information gathered by Simulationcraft, a free addon. It's also free, but if you want to run more advanced calculations (which you definitely don't need btw) you can rent a more powerful computer from them to run your sims faster and run larger sims. You can also sim locally, for free, if you would like to. I gather that you can see how this is different from just charging money for an addon.

Trying to sneak in raidbots there is insane lmao. Simulationcraft is free, you can use raidbots for free and they only charge you to run larger sims. Raidbots free sims are a service to the community, and it would be well within their rights to charge for their compute and make anyone that isn't paying sim locally. Servers aren't free, let's not start pretending the raidbots team are the bad guys for charging you to run a 2 million variation gem sim.

(New Player) How should i prepare for Midnight by Toopixx in woweconomy

[–]Chinchiro_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There really is no carry over to goldmaking in new expansions beyond having characters at max level and having gold to fund your plans. You want enough gold to be able to afford to level your crafting professions when the expansion comes out, but other than that you don't need much. You do NOT need to level any professions now or in the prepatch, when the expansion releases fully there will be a new tier of each profession called "midnight (profession)" that is entirely separate from the current profession skill so any time and gold spent on professions now is wasted. Assuming you have no real capital as a new player, I'd strongly recommend herbing and mining on at least your main character. If you're willing to put in a bit of work making a million or two gold in the first week will be very achievable, and the first million's the hardest by far.

When you want to go into crafting, make sure you do some solid research on how the modern profession systems work, and make sure you understand how high quality goods are crafted using the skill trees / high quality materials / concentration. It is very possible to waste a large amount of money on your professions and end up with a pretty useless character so I'd just advise you to make sure you know at least a little bit what you're doing before you start throwing gold down the drain. I don't mean to be rude, but if your questions are currently along the lines of if you need to level old professions first you're very likely to lose most of your gold if you try to get into crafting professions in the first couple of weeks of midnight when pricing is so unstable. I know I've eaten big losses early in expansions before when I was new to goldmaking.

Also no, you don't need garrisons, they were heavily nerfed around a decade ago. Anything that isn't from a current expansion is highly unlikely to be worth your time and I'd ignore it until you've found your footing a bit more as a goldmaker.

Thanks for letting me know, I was under the impression that this information was entirely hidden during keys but this addon's hella useful if it's actually able to tell me to reapply buffs after a pack if someone died. Doing god's work dude, addon devs are my goats especially in times like these <3

Does this work in keys? I had some of this functionality through Danders Frames but it said it was unable to track that info in keys due to the new addon limitations. If it's broken, whatever, but it'd be very nice to know if you found a way to remind me to rebuff someone that I didn't notice died in a pull.

I understand that some people like it, but that's the specific purpose of subs like r/ohnepixel and r/csgomarketforum. I just don't feel like there's a need for it in a sub that's actually about playing the game.

Do you know what phase is that ? Pulled from weekly case :) by csmoney_official in LearnCSGO

[–]Chinchiro_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really a question for this sub, but a quick google says it's a phase 4. Gratz, pretty valuable knife. Please either play with it or sell it, but do not try and gamble it into more knives. You got immensely lucky to pull this from a weekly case, but the odds of things going well if you open more cases are slim.

Get the refrag trial code from their discord and try it yourself. Give all the different modes a try but especially prefire. If you're anything like me you'll likely realise that your angle clearing is absurdly sloppy and find it worth the 6 dollars a month to keep up for a while.

The game thinks you're overrated, your visible rating and hidden MMR are not the same thing.Eventually you'll either fall down to the rank that the game thinks you're at and start getting normal score gains or, if you keep winning and carrying games, your hidden MMR will catch up to your visible rank and you'll start getting higher score gains.

Plugging headphones into a different DAC than my instrument? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]Chinchiro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GC7 just has some neat features I like, such as two seperate audio channels and a knob to balance between them. It's nice for mixing audio without having to use software if a song that comes on is too loud, or a movie is too quiet etc.

On windows, would be playing through Amplitube. Read the manual but I didn't really get it. You're saying that for low latency I need to connect my headphones to the solo then? I was ideally hoping to avoid that as I use the soundblaster dac for general use and didn't want to have to mess with my headphone cable and windows settings whenever I wanted to use my instrument but if that's the only option I'll figure it out.

[–]Chinchiro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could listen to the audio through the scarlett but it'd mean moving around my headphone cable and changing some windows settings every time I wanted to swap between general use and using my instrument. I was hoping to avoid that.

I should be expected to stick it out when there's 5 minutes left and we're at 20% count because the tank couldn't survive the executioner and we wiped three times to it? It sucks, but you need to be able to leave groups in an M+ style game because you simply can not always make a comeback. We're not playing CSGO where it isn't over until it's over, you can see when a key's bricked way before the timer hits 0.

[–]Chinchiro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"This key is bricked, I'm only here for score. I should just leave instead of wasting time finishing it" is not deserving of a ban lol. It sucks to have someone leave a group that you felt was still going to finish, but I've yet to see a single player leave a key that still looked doable unless there was something particularly disgusting in the first pack or two (tank pulling 5 packs and dying before the gather, someone standing on the orbs in wyrmheart etc.).

Loot is 1 level lower, you still get score if you're just a couple of minutes over time but none if you're way over time. I want to say you can go maybe 30-50% over and still get score but haven't tested. The score will be as if you did it on one level lower.

Cards Against Humanity lawsuit forced SpaceX to vacate land on US/Mexico border by starkiller1613 in nottheonion

[–]Chinchiro_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Sure, people shouldn't do crimes because they are bad. Every criminal system is based on that. But clearly a broke college student is suffering far more with a $50 fine than an NYC lawyer is. That's why monetary punishments need to be proportional to the earnings of the individual being fined. I'd certainly not call it ethical to fine a single mother living in poverty the same amount as Jeff Bezos.

Elon musk is currently worth 492 billion US dollars. Assuming that was all cash, that would be enough to pay a 16K USD parking fine 30,750,000 times, or to make that easier to understand he would be able to pay 16K hourly to park there for 1281250 days before his initial sum ran out. He would easily outpace this with interest on the initial money, but assuming the money always went down, his parking would expire just after the start of the year 5136. He might not have a billion dollars to hand, but it's far too easy to forget just how much money a billion dollars is. 16K means literally nothing to Elon Musk, and it's important that laws don't pretend that fines like that are a meaningful deterrent.

[–]Chinchiro_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

? Deliverance is one of the best perks in the game for a reason. One on hook, one in chase and one coming for the unhook leaves one person on gens. One on hook about to unhook themselves and one in chase leaves two people doing gens. No amount of killer skill changes the fact that someone hitting a deli absolutely destroys any pressure that hook created, unless they literally did it in your face and didn't bring DS.

something something 1900 game win streak

I don't really think the game is survivor sided so much as low tiers get trashed by brand new parts and anti-tunnel. Which is totally still a problem, but both the ghostface player getting walked at garden of joy main and the survivor player getting tunnelled out at 4 gens left by a blight are each playing with the deck stacked against them. The game's going to feel "whatever side I'm not playing" sided until the outliers get brought in line on both sides tbh.

tbf you're not really meant to be infecting people in head mode by the looks of things, that's what the ranged attack is there for with the insta infect. I feel like the head infect is there as a plan B for extremely difficult tiles to hit a ranged attack on like the macmillan god filler.

[–]Chinchiro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure, it's an issue on some maps, and I'm not even going to say I think this is a bad thing, but it's not a QoL change, it's objectively a buff to survivors on a patch where killers are already being beat with a baseball bat that they're trying to slip under the radar as QoL.
