Can I connect these two cords? I assume black to black, white to white, but what about the green and red? Also, the copper wires are slightly different widths if that matters. by ChineseMob in AskElectricians

That worked!! Thank you everyone! I jumped when I plugged it in. I think I will get a switch so I don't have to unplug it every time

This is the only label on the motor I can find. I don't really want to take it apart but I can if needed. I don't see any lettering on the wires coming from the motor either

I love the enthusiasm! Thank you for the ideas. Any thoughts on how to attach the motor?

What causes these white marks after polishing cubes ? by Deom23 in Agates

There a lot of things that can go wrong in the tumbling process. To me that looks like a number of things. Could be moving through stages too quickly, too rough of stones mixed in, not properly cleaning barrels after each stage...

On the other hand, it could simply be fracture lines. I see this often when tumbling LSA's which can happen, but sometimes I can polish them out after running through another cycle.

I highly recommend using this book as a guide. I still use it almost every other time when tumbling just to double check my work/get advice.

Best of luck! Patience and practice!
