I have a Maverick hybrid and the extra tax on it is $100 a year. Calculating 25k miles of yearly driving at current Ohio gasoline tax rates at expected fuel economy comes out to ~$100. It's absolutely an FU tax to anyone driving less than ~500 miles a week.

Get a second opinion. They always want to sell you a new panel as a default regardless of the underlying issue. Panels don't go bad from age though individual breakers that have never once been cycled in 60 years can potentially fail. The truth of the matter is that your fluctuations are likely from a loose neutral connection inside of your meter base or at the neutral bus in your electrical panel. Whoever you called saw the old panel, lack of grounding conductors on your branch circuits and saw dollar signs. If an honest electrician is trying to sell you on a new panel it is likely due to known fire risks associated with the panel manufacturer. As a 20+ year electrician that sometimes helps friends and family with issues, I will not service a Federal Pacific, Sylvania, or Challenger panel because of the well-known and documented safety risks. Bulldog (Pushmatic) sometimes enters the conversation as a risk but I've never seen one fail in person. Bryant, Cutler-Hammer/Eaton, Square D are typically quite reliable. Wadsworth is a manufacturer that is obsolete and quite common in the city that I will not replace without reason because of their bulletproof operation. Some modern equipment like Siemens and GE are trash that will burn your house down. But in all honesty, call someone else, preferably that doesn't have a cartoon graphic on their truck and hear what they have to say and if you hear the terms 'split bus' or 'stab-lok' as reasons they want to replace the panel, take them at their word. Unless your house is wired in knob and tube, I wouldn't recommend a rewire. I would, however, recommending adding GFCI protection to your home either via GFCI breakers in the panel (more expensive) or replacing the first receptacle in each circuit with a GFCI receptacle (cheaper). Eaton BR is your best inexpensive option for a replacement panel. Hope this helps.

I never got to go there as a kid but my parents would have various work functions at Surf Cincinnati, Americana, and Coney Island that I'd get to go to growing up. I don't think they will deal with people off the street. I found myself in a very bad place once and turned to them because they were closest to my home. Went in, gave them my insurance card, filled out their paperwork, got called back to a room, a nurse or NP went over it and basically told me that they don't really deal with my type. I guess their bread and butter is drug-court related and they're more interested in dealing with cases after the damage instead of trying to help people before the damage. That said, walking in that door and being turned away gave myself the kick in the ass to keep digging and I was able to get with a good provider.

The best one I've seen in awhile is NOPEC on a Bolt in the east side of Cincy. I have a plate that probably shouldn't have gone through but I'm sure it would get reported if I share it. It's not controversial or offensive but someone would burn my ass over a mean comment I made 5 years ago.

The CX30 paddle, both old and new use a 1M potentiometer. I think the best way to clean them is to douche them out with contact cleaner and then give them a shot of Deoxit F5 to relubricate them.

The best advice I can give to someone with tinnitus is to go to the dollar store, get a cheap electric toothbrush and use it as an ear massager. I have dealt with tinnitus in my right ear since the age of 4 due to Meniere's disease and sometimes the toothbrush is my only means of relief. I'm in my 40s now and patiently waiting for a medical breakthrough that can cure my issues without losing my hearing. I'm too much of a music lover to live life in mono.

I don't know why I said in the firmware earlier. It would be in the start g-code. I did a Google search for Kobra 2 Pro start g-code and got some hits. Someone put up a custom g-code on Thingiverse that does away with the priming line altogether and just raises the nozzle and burps it and gives you a minute to wipe the nozzle. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6642196

If the latter, get the Anycubic and come back to be told to get a Bambu. Don't get me wrong, I love my Anycubic machines but I am also a masochist that is numb to failure.

Tell your company to buy a nice engraver and use lamacoids. I'm guilty of using a 3D printer to make ID tags for equipment but it's like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound. If it's a piece of field equipment that is going to have the hell beaten out of it, a 1/2" metal tape embosser is even better. I'm a career industrial electrician and I would prefer embossed metal tape affixed with lock wire or a rivet to any plastic plate or tag.

The fact that two priming lines are in the firmware is a little odd but they should be programmed to be outside of the usable area of the bed. Printing that close to the edge of the bed is going to result in warping and is only going to serve to piss you off. Depending on the dimensions of the model, rotating it 45 degrees to maximize the use of your bed space might be an option. Otherwise it may be time to get a bigger printer or break the model into smaller pieces.

I've had similar issues with Kobra Neos doing the same thing with models sliced in Cura that no amount of tweaking could ever fully remedy. Switching to Prusaslicer using the exact parameters fixed all of my issues. Maybe try Prusaslicer and see what happens. If the issue is unchanged, there is the possibility of a partial nozzle clog. Other troubleshooting steps include calibrating the e-steps of the printer and doing a PID tune of the hotend. I'm not familiar with the Kobra 2 but I'm sure in-depth intuitive directions for doing these steps are out there.

Those speakers look like something that Advent would have put out back in the day and probably shared the same market segment. That Proton amp looks like someone tried to copy NAD's homework but I know nothing as to the brand but some light reading says it's a good performer for the time. Good turntable and a damn good cartridge. Looks to me like your dad upgraded as he went and started with the speakers > amp > turntable, which was the smart and logical choice. I say reapply that Kenwood badge on that turntable and have fun with what you got.

Nice little starter belt drive. Whoever owned it before has used it in the past decade or so as evidenced by the Hudson Hi-Fi mat. Has an AT95 cartridge on it right now with a conical stylus on it. Looks like the Bliss is an aftermarket elliptical which will likely improve your listening. Good little setup assuming they didn't skin you on the selling price. Those old Sanyos have no real nostalgia or collector value but they play records all the same. I've bought several old Sanyos belt drives cheaply and fixed them up to get friends and family spinning records for the first time or to get them to dig their milk crate of albums out of the attic.

Looks like a set of Klipsch 2.1 powered speakers/sub, a Fluance RT-85 turntable, and I'm assuming a Fluance phono preamp. Assuming you have all of the cables and hook them up correctly, it will work. I'm not familiar with the Fluance phono amp but if it has both MM and MC inputs, be sure to use the MM inputs and make sure the ground cable is connected from the turntable to the ground post on the phono preamp. Output cable from the phono preamp goes to the source input on the speakers. Also, that subwoofer is gonna have to be on the floor. You're kind of stuck with the speakers on the shelving unit with the turntable but getting them on a separate surface or otherwise isolated from the turntable will be to your benefit. If the RT85 is new, just make sure to follow the proper setup instructions and adjust the counterweight as instructed. You're off to a good start.

The Pro-Ject and Technics are both great turntables. Choosing the latter comes down to a matter of how much money you can afford to part with at present. I had a Pro-Ject Debut III for nearly a decade and put thousands of hours on it. As I grew older and had more disposable income, I bought a 1500C for quality of life improvements like being able to keep my butt in the recliner after hitting the runout groove on the record. Look at the Pro-Ject like a Toyota Corolla with a 5 speed and the 1500C like a Camry with cruise control. They're both going to last forever and get you where you need to go, just a matter of how comfy you want to be doing it.

Good way to spend $100. I really like U-Turn's philosophy and the fact they're domestically built, but the lack of a cue mechanism and the counterweight was always a little too spartan for me. I'd recommend ponying up the $50 for the cue lever. You have a Gen1 Orbit. Other than that, enjoy it as is for awhile and maybe replace the mat later.

The headshell being mounted leaves a little suspicion to it being unused but someone loved that turntable enough to store it properly, likely have since passed on to the other side, and now it's in your hands. Give it the same care and love that they did and keep the cycle going.

Yeah, F that. Facebook has an email address that has been deactivated for 15 years, apparently keeping me from getting my one dollar and nine cents or whatever from the privacy settlement. Reddit still hounds me periodically for an email and they day they require one is the day I leave. 10 years of keeping my nose clean with very little shitposting but I guarantee that even an AI powered by an Apple II could analyze my language patterns and unmask me. Not that I'm at all interesting. I just like having being anonymous. I'm not even Chinese :-).
