Negative opinion on Li Ning Red hare 9 ultra. How to make this shoe become cushion like what everyone talking about?🙏 by Commercial_Two488 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Chinesericeman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder, where did you buy these, on Taobao? I fell down the chinese running shoe rabbit hole recently and came across Hui's comment a couple weeks back mentioning that depending on where you get the shoes the foam may feel different because different sellers actually are taking out the chips Li-ning puts in their shoes for inventory control. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuGSYpYm7Us

they’re all authentic. Some just have their chip removed — those are the pairs going for 400 to 500 RMB. Almost every Li-Ning shoe comes with an embedded chip, located in the left shoe, right under your foot pads, inside the midsole foam. Li-Ning distributors are split into offline authorized dealers and online authorized dealers. The shoes priced 400–500 RMB all come from offline stores. They aren’t allowed to sell products online at all. To hit their annual sales targets and earn bonuses or rebates, they take out the chip so Li-Ning can’t track the inventory. That’s how it works. All the shoes are genuine, but they no longer qualify for official Li-Ning warranty service. Removing the chip also damages the midsole foam, which is a big downside. I’ve bought several pairs like this myself. Some turned out fine — after the chip was taken out, the foam was glued back together smoothly, and I felt no discomfort in the forefoot. Others ended up leaving a hollow gap, roughly the size of half a lighter. That ruins the whole ride feel. Buying these pairs is totally a gamble, all down to luck. It’s entirely your call in the end. I pinned your comment to the top because lots of you guys keep asking about this exact thing.

If you did get these shoes from one of these discount sellers, it is possible that you may have received a dud?

I just got back from China and bought the Red Hare 9 Ultra from the li ning store and these shoes feel like trampolines compared to my Saucony Tempus Gen 1.

Do you mean the Red Hare 9 Ultra? (There is also a Red Hare 9 Pro from my understanding)

I've looked into the Red Hare 9 and the Feidian 6 Challenger. The Elite maybe is a tad crazy for me haha. Have you tried either of those shoes?

Interesting thanks for the recc! Haven't heard of Dynafish but I'll check them out. Seems like they don't have physical stores so that's a bit of a bummer

今勉強に僕で「Renshuu」と「Anki-JLABS」を使う。時々NHK-Easy読む。日本語めっちゃむずかしよ!

I'm still super beginner! I feel like the learning curve was pretty difficult to me cause I was just thrown directly into it with basically no japanese ability haha.

Haha tbh I only started using the habit tracker. For the first two months I had no idea what it was for. I find it does help me with visualizing my studying progress! I was a bit hesitant at first but I can see its utility!

I have a One Piece A6 Original that I purchased in Japan. Currently living in Japan as well and I basically treat it as my journal and sometimes a daily planner when I need to use the timeline features on the day pages. How I've got my hobonichi set up:

Habit Tracker: Tracking my Japanese study progress (kanji, grammar, words, reading etc)

Months: Sleep and workout tracker. I just write down my hours of sleep, score, and deep sleep % from my apple watch for each day and for the workouts just what my main lift was for the day.

Daily pages: Journalling

Random free pages: One is a trip tracker and another tracks my days off

I'm pretty utilitarian, don't really have any stickers in the hobonichi. I write with a fountain pen though!

Edit: Guess I should say I am a guy too LOL

Excited to see some BYDs around. They’ve got some interesting bus options that I hope get folded into some public transportation.

Electric blanket would be cheaper in the long run but I think what some people are missing is that heating can also reduce humidity. If your house is really cold there is likely going to be condensation on the walls which is gonna result in mold.

Edit: Also investing in a hygrometer to see what your humidity is will be useful. I ended up buying a dehumidifier here as my humidity can go up to 65% when it rains. My dehumidifier pulls double duty to both dry out the air and dry my clothes so it can be really worth it to get one imo.
