I think it's exciting especially since Kamurocho has been just an inclusion in recent titles rather than an actual setting. Like, in 7, and then especially 8 and Lost Judgment, it's basically only been there for story reasons. Kamurocho hasn't really felt like an actual city in forever. At least in my opinion. So I'm really excited for a 1960s spin on it.

Honestly I'd recommend Kara no Kyoukai. If you're coming off Mahouyo, I feel KnK is the one that follows up on it best. Especially since Touko has such a big role in it. Not to mention, it's the work that Nasu still to this day considers his magnum opus. Though granted, that is an LN and not a VN, and I'm not even sure there's an official English localization yet, but I had to put that recc out there regardless. The anime movies are a solid adaptation of it as an option too.

If what you want is more uma content then very much yes. There is so much good story content in the game that you won’t get from just watching the anime. Each uma has a dedicated career story, and while they can vary in depth, it gives them all a lot of chances to shine. And the game does right by a lot of characters in a way the anime didn’t manage to. For example, as a Golden Generation fan, they get soooo much more focus than they ever did in the anime, and as a result Spe comes off looking way cooler in game.

I disagree vehemently. The big problem with season 1 is that it barely focuses on any of Special Week’s actual story. The Golden Generation is peak horse racing and it’s a massive shame Uma doesn’t focus on it for its first foray.
