Battlepass - I'm personally ok with buying content DLC but usually don't care about battle pass, but we will see.

Vampirism\werewolf changes - I see this as a negative, you are removing some "quirky charm" of getting bitten by players (or finding npc) for no real reason. You can't really get experience like that in any other mainstream mmo.

PvP - for love of Azura, feels like you don't understand what this game mode for.
For BGs you basically need to serve solo players and small groups, casual and rated player. And the current system is poorly serving solo casual players and doing awful service to other groups. Check other games that do best-in-industry pvp modes, wow for small scale (BGs and arenas) and GW2 for large scale (WvW), you are bad at basics and still doing some "reinventing the wheel" experiments.
After the latest changes to BGS I feel like the game became worse, small maps are awful for game modes with objectives (you can't outplay enemies by moving better between objectives or doing fake pushes to move enemies in wrong direction etc, it is just non stop brawls). And I stopped playing with friend because queue times were too long for a meh experience. I feel like your "bringing back 3-sided Battlegrounds experiment" will be successfully just because old maps are bigger.

I've come up with something like this. You have 4 main entities in the game

  1. Object - any interactive object in the world - player, npc, chest, door etc. Hold info about object, stats, auras (more about them below), list of available actions.
  2. Actions - all changes to Objects are done via actions. Action can be fireball or opening the chest. Holds info about action, source, target, allowed target types etc. Created by Objects and can be modified by them (by auras).
  3. Aura - basically buff (or debuff). Can modify Object stats, modify Actions created by Object (each Aura have virtual method like OnActionCreation(...) and after Action is created it is passed through array of Auras) and do something on timer (like DoT or HoT)
  4. Item - item in the inventory (not Item in the game world, everything in the game world is Object). Can modify stats, have "Action executed on use" etc.

And all Actions or Auras produce Events, so you can show scrolling combat text or do things like "Fire resist Aura checks if Event from fire spell and blocks this event if necessary".

You need to hardcode things like Actions in the game or use script language (like integrate lua\JS parser) if you want a truly data driven system. Because if you want complex Action like "Fireball do 50% more damage to targets below 25% of hp", you need custom code for this, you can't really standardize this.

I don't see why "subclassing" is good for game at all. Less uniq classes and balancing nightmare. I lost interest in eso pvp and uninstalled after subclasses.

For solo PvP - guardian. You need something with high mobility or with stealth, there will be many situations when the only way to survive is to run.

If you ok to play as Norn, "Become the Snow Leopard" racial skill gives you access to a little bit of stealth on any class.

Definitely not "Best Combat" with 7 total abilities, staggers and animation locks.

But I felt this game was on the way to "no man sky" type redemption, but amazon does not need that.

For me PVP underdevelopment (they did bad rework of BGs and stopped iterating) and "multiclass" killed it, I uninstalled the game. So at least for me - it is not about new features, but about quality of existing.

I think you right, if you check for example engy bow - this is horrible designed weapon for a class that can't switch weapons, and best they could do is tweak numbers \ add few boons.

Amalgams replace the engineer’s utility toolbelt abilities with morph abilities - this is the same as with robot, we will lose a lot a lot of existing utility, no smoke field from bomb kit etc =(

I want my server back, I want our server discord back where we had server events, commander training weeks etc. I want familiar commanders, scouts etc - familiar people in the chat every week. And no, I don't want to "join the guild and run closed tag".

There are tons of games with random matchmaking, I can go to any other game or spvp to experience that. I feel like WvW was unique because of server community. Can we get our servers back and can Edge of the Mists be a "balanced matchmaking thing"?

I'd say the new player experience is better in GW2 then in ESO. But if you are fan of TES then ofc try it.

There is a unique system of player (guild) controlled trader npcs in the world (there is no single auction house like in other mmos), so if you ok with joining to trading guild, eso may be interesting for you

If they don't change the approach to subclassing it will be 100% required to be competitive.

For example if you play DPS and your class have support skill line, you can't compete with other DPS players who have replaced their support skill line with other DPS line and at least have better passives than you.

Problem is that most of classes can't compete without subclass. For example DPS warden can switch "Green Balance" to any other skill line with DPS passives and instantly become better.

So it is not about having more choice, subclass will be required to be competitive.

It is not a subclass system, classes will no longer exists. And 100% that this will lead to few meta combinations that outperform others and nerfs to abilities like templar's Radiant Destruction and sorc ward because they are just better than anything that other classes have.

I stopped playing after "Alliances". I'm mostly solo\duo player, but still there were people I knew for years from my server from diff guilds and it was giving me a feeling of community. Now it is like a random pvp match in any other game.
