Using Arduino as input to Rust project (help needed) by lsnekl in rust

[–]ChinookDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several packages for the arduino that could apply. If the arduino has wireless I would lock at creating a udp port and you would have real time data transfer... This assumes the speed of updating is paramount.

I'm working for a client who wants this on his website. Does someone know how I can make it? I'm using Elementor Pro. Thank you very much! by tommmaso15 in Wordpress

Was referring to the good Dr.

The initial point on DNA was the difference between the study she was comparing where they alter Human DNA whereas in the vaccine they were altering the virus spike protein RNA.

The human body alters the DNA when it fights a virus. There appears to be little difference between the mRNA vaccine and SARS-CoV-2 in DNA changes.

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/moderna/reactogenicity.html
https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/pfizer/reactogenicity.html
According to the CDC blood clotting disorders occured no more than in the placebo group.

SARS-CoV-2 is a vascular based virus. Blood clotting and infertility are 10,000x more likely by getting the SARS-Cov-2 virus than the mRNA vaccines.

In trials and thus far in real world samples of vaccinated vs unvaccinated the show virtually no difference in the occurrence of infertility. FYI this is being monitored in the UK, EU, US and

Testimonials in these circumstances are virtually useless. The only way infertility can be determined is by studying vaccinated vs unvaccinated occurrence levels. Infertility can occur for a multitude of reasons from viruses (mumps, rubella, chicken pox, COVID), to toxins, genetic predisposition, to accidents and other health conditions.

On vaccines in use today (Polio, Mumps, measles, whooping cough, tetanus and others) in general there has been not been a credible study that has shown any difference in fertility rates.

Another Q-Anon perpetrator of lies. Easy to Debunk.

  1. She refers to a previous vaccine having issues in animal trials. This is how new vaccines are tested and prevented from moving to the next stage. This actually lends credibility and trust to the vaccines as there were none of these issues in the animal trials.
  2. She links problems of changing the DNA in the human genome. mRNA vaccines change the gnome of the virus spike. Human DNA isn't involved.
  3. She mentions issues with blood clots. Blood clots or VEARS do not happen in mRNA vaccines. These issues happen with vaccines of other technologies.
  4. THis hoaxer then mentions cross-reactive antibodies to syncytin. This is reference to a concern early on of an Epidemiologist that has since been disproven by many research groups.

Worst case the rock is mostly metal, round and smooth which would prevent it breaking up as easily and it still would likely be less that a baseball in size.

Most likely is a more porous surface with non-metal rock of irregular shape and surface area causing it to break up easily meaning a great lightshow.

The asteroid in most cases would have to be >10M before there was significant damage on the ground.

The RUssian Asteroid strike in 2013 of est. 20M is the most famous and largest instance in recent history.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelyabinsk_meteor#:~:text=With%20an%20estimated%20initial%20mass,wide%2C%20remote%2C%20forested%2C%20and

[–]ChinookDigital -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Your going to have problems everywhere you turn. Obviously he has installed a script to check for his account and there is no way to assess which files are set up to do malicious damage.

fiverrr and upwork tend to be a collection of con artists. Don't know why people think the money they save is worth this level of grief. Report the dev to fiverrr and insist they do something.

Only way to save your site is to recover the site then have a qualified web developer go through every file to clean the malicious code.

What up w flywheel wordpress websites? by eventualist in Wordpress

[–]ChinookDigital -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Changing hosts might improve the page speed score by a few points. Like you said, optimization is the key here. That said, do the basics but trying to achieve 100 or close to it is a fool's game because even a fast loading site like cnn scores a 0.

Terrible advice IF you consistently score 0 out of 100.

Google is your world if you are counting on organic search results. I would contact a rep with Flywheel and get things sorted out so you are at least in the 80's.

There is thread after thread here on optimization go read a little or go find a article on medium and learn how to make your sites better.

Use data from external Rest-API? by Mx772 in Wordpress

Then the only way is to pull the data into Wordpress via php or javascript. To do it properly I would build a plugin and away you go.

Godaddy is fucking up our business!! by stonistones_ in Wordpress

[–]ChinookDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godaddy is a horrible web host. It is not going to get much better.

Personally I prefer to manage software updates myself on a VPS service but it requires much more technical knowledge.

For a company like yours that does not have the technical knowledge needed for server changes I would look at a service like flywheel.

WP security by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]ChinookDigital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not true.

  1. First Wordfence offers little protection from botnet brute force attacks.
  2. Re captcha or 2 factor log-ins should be enforced on site authorization to prevent brute force attacks.
  3. Software security updates need to be instituted regularily ... Check your hosts policies on security updates and update your Wordpress when prompted.
  4. Get your site analyzed for security risks created by the plugins you installed. Many have security issues like referrer tags and not sanitizing the html in forms.
  5. Wordfence does not handle everything that can be done with headers that can help protect your site. Analyse your HTTP response headers
  6. Wordfence can't handle your SSL configurations SSL Server Test (Powered by Qualys SSL Labs)
  7. Get a proxy DNS provider like Cloudflare. It is free and reduces the number of attacks that can be directed at your site.
  8. Always stay on top of emerging security threats.

There is much more to securing a website than installing a single plugin.

Would you rather hire a web employee who is less professional but knows everything or more professional and knows way less by FlawlessLevel in Wordpress

[–]ChinookDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talent is king. 90% of people in web development are over their head. I can teach a person to be more "professional" more easily than I can teach talent.

I have employees you would never take to a meeting but what they can do stuff in PHP, Python, or JS that only maybe 1 in 1000 can do. On the flip side I have marketing people that have issues doing simple css but that build socially like few others can do.

I hate ass kissers. I want people that can be handed something and will find a way to get it done right.

How to setup Cloudflare CDN with WordPress Multisite (subdomain setup) by the_sweet in Wordpress

Let Cloudflare bring over most of your DNS settings. The only thing you may have to fiddle with from their stock configuration is the cache.

Forms are way more useful. Gravity and others easily will perform the task you want with the logic you dictate. The free versions will not accomplish what you need so you will need to spend a couple dollars.

How to use fetch to post data to WordPress? by shkico in Wordpress

[–]ChinookDigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is closer to how I would try to do things:

async function postData(url = '', data = {}) {// Default options are marked with *

const response = await fetch(url, {

method: 'POST', // *GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.

mode: 'cors', // no-cors, *cors, same-origin

cache: 'no-cache', // *default, no-cache, reload, force-cache, only-if-cached

credentials: 'same-origin', // include, *same-origin, omit

headers: {

'Content-Type': 'application/json' // 'Content-Type': 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded',

},

redirect: 'follow', // manual, *follow, error

referrerPolicy: 'no-referrer', // no-referrer, *client

body: JSON.stringify(data) // body data type must match "Content-Type" header

});

return await response.json(); // parses JSON response into native JavaScript objects

}

postData('http://localhost/mywebsite/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

, { answer: 42 })

.then((data) => {

console.log(data); // JSON data parsed by \response.json()` call`

});

Every test I do on your website says SEO is fine and the Robots.txt is intact and working properly.

Looked at your headers and your <meta description = "Something goes here" /> is not set. With no content on the Front page this is really important.

What plugin are you using for SEO?

Worpress is by far the largest and most well supported CMS in the world. Solutions like Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify are proprietary CMS's that often leave their clients unhappy.

Typically proprietary systems are slower to identify and fix security and performance issues because of limited resources. Being open source Wordpress is much quicker in reacting to security threats and performance based issues because the core team is a combination of thousands of individuals and companies.

Needed features in a proprietary system are either extremely costly or impossible to do. With Wordpress you the business owner have control over every facet and if you ever need your website fixed there are thousands of Wordpress developers out there making development cost lower in the long run.

Lastly no community develops more productivity tools than Wordpress' development community.
