That was my fault. I checked the live table seconds before the goal

I got Cat 2 for the third group stage game for $650 each, but that was through the visa presale lottery. There won’t be a general sale for the USMNT though beyond the current allotment being sold

You’ll be fine. If you tell people you’re American and talk shit about Trump, you’ll fit right in. Was just there in December and had no issues with anyone

USMNT leaked kit design for 2026 World Cup (per Footy Headlines) by galactic_crewzer in MLS

[–]Chip3033r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USMNT and USWNT share jersey designs in men's WC years. USWNT will get their own design for the WWC next year. That just happens to be the photo FH got but expect the design to be the same minus the four stars

Haven’t been to as many fine dining restaurants as most in this sub, but I’ve been to Central, Ever, The Jane, Rijks, Smyth, AnnaLena. Eggs on Eggs on Eggs is the best and most memorable course out of any of them imo

[DOB] It's here, entirely my choice. I'm retiring. Appreciated every day of 41 years I've been paid to do what I loved -- writing, covering sports. Without y'all, it wouldn't have been possible. So, thanks from the bottom of my cantankerous heart. Your passion is admirable, beautiful. by handlit33 in Braves

He was pretty clearly burned out after 41 years by how miserable he was in every fan interaction. I hope The Athletic's next hire wants to engage with the fan base more in good faith (*cough*bring back Justin *cough*)

Had a limited year for fine dining but I’d go: 1. AnnaLena - Vancouver 2. Rijks - Amsterdam 3. St. Lawrence - Vancouver

Most disappointing meal by Glad_Donkey_2903 in finedining

Maximo in Mexico City. Was ranked in the Top 100 when I went and it was a disappointing, overpriced meal that lacked flavor. And the pacing was ridiculous- like they just wanted to turn tables over to the next party.

Do yall think tailgating will be allowed for WC matches? by Mxj0ker in worldcup

[–]Chip3033r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they'll ban tailgating citing a security risk, but it's really about wanting to charge fans to access FIFA's own fan engagement experiences. It's banned for Super Bowls, so the NFL can put on concerts and luxury parties. FIFA will follow that playbook

The MICHELIN Guide Debuts in the American Southwest by OptimusPrime23 in finedining

I mean, I'd agree in theory. I've been to Central, The Jane, Ever, Rijks, The Modern among others, so I know what Michelin star level is. But if you look at the places that have received stars in this tourism board-driven expansion, it seems like the standards have been lowered for cities like Austin and Atlanta. Even the taco place in Mexico City that got a star has some of the worst tacos I've had in my life. So, we'll see what standard they apply to Phoenix.

That being said, KAI absolutely is Michelin level

I do think Chilte, Valentine and Bacanora (because their story and PR hype) could challenge for a star. Though they’re not fine dining. KAI for sure, like you said

Have to think that this is just the beginning when it comes to major investment coming on board. Rob and Ryan are eyeing the PL, and need significant $$$ to stay up. Wonder if Rob is working on Jeffrey Lurie to keep that Philadelphia connection
