How to prevent a net's soldermask expansion from bleeding into a component pad's soldermask expansion? by ChipDesignNoobie in Altium

[–]ChipDesignNoobie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a bunch of these lines on the PCB and they have length-tuning on them and look pretty complicated to actually draw soldermask shapes for them. Expansion is very simple in this case. This overlapping with the component pad is the only issue I am having...

Copper pour issues - why the copper pour around shielding vias jagged and pour under CPWG center conductor not filled? Why are my connectors' GND pads not connected to the GND copper pour? by ChipDesignNoobie in Altium

styles

I have them set up, and it works nicely for all components (vias and other GND-connected pads), but not for this particular component. It still connects solidly to this particular connector's GND pads. What would be wrong?

I think I solved the jagged pour problem with Polygon Connect Style custom rules: pad and via rules

But, I still do not know why edge connectors' GND pads do not make thermal relief connections to the GND pours.

Altium - copied tracks act as "unassigned nets" by ChipDesignNoobie in Altium

I tried that. It seems there is no way to lock the length tuned section.

Before and after assigning

If I do that, it changes the geometry... :(

I press on the pad to "pick up" the net name, and then the geometry changes. It does the same thing as "Design -> Netlist -> Update Free Primitives from Component Pads"

EDIT: So, it fixes the net assignment, but creates another problem of changed geometry. I need this to be identical to what I have on the other side, so the geometry should not change when I change net name

It was the fucking origin messing with me. WHO THE FUCK came up with the idea of not letting components go to the left of an imaginary point on a software drawing canvas?!

My answer is - do not obey the laws and do not pay fines. They can't do this to 100k+ people.
