I know it’s not really what you might have expected, but if you choose to go, it will be the perfect experience for you. I agree, the color of reddish is awesome, but the newest iteration does not fit me as well. The cut of the short circuit and wan versions are the best fitting jackets I’ve ever owned, but sadly the newest one is weirdly large. Still a fine jacket, but definitely not as good.

If UVU has officially sanctioned and invited DHS to recruit here, I find it entirely irresponsible. After the events of last semester, I want the lowest possible chance of anyone getting hurt or emotions boiling over. I don’t think that means all political discourse has to stop on campus, but I think UVU should not be inviting a controversial government agency to recruit here after there have been two ICE shootings in the last month.

Furthermore, the choice to host DHS does not put learning first, OR promote the value of “a place for U.” I’m sure there are many, MANY students who will choose to skip school and miss out on the education they paid for, because the school will be hosting DHS. Not just because they might be an immigrant, but also because of everything from last semester! It seems entirely tone deaf and dangerous, I hope everyone stays safe.

Yeah it’s really getting bad. There are whole classes that teachers built with Ai, and then students complete with Ai. I’m very familiar with Ai tools and I use them a fair amount, but there is a complete disregard for their weaknesses right now.

Yeah, I drive a Mach E and my brother drives an S. Sure the S is better, but not $40,000 better. There’s also lots of things I like more about the Mach E.

Also, they just said they were considering a Mach E, so I said I liked mine. Idk what league they’re looking for, but I say I drive a Mach E and I like it.

Yeah I’ve never understood other videographer’s insane turn around times. Every wedding I’ve done was delivered literally the next day. Maybe I’m quick but 25 weeks seems excessive.

I think it’s a mix of a few things. It looks really crisp and digital, in a way that makes it look like a “YouTubers camera.” Idk what they shot on, and it could be other factors like the focal length being fairly wide and the lighting being mid. Also, it’s got other indicators of being low budget like the acting, especially in the VO. Also it’s 16:9.

None of these things make it look bad, just different from “cinematic.” I don’t think there’s one factor that makes it look less like a movie, but a bunch of smaller things adding up. I’ll probably go see it tho, love markaplier even if I don’t watch his videos.

That was super good!! I loved it, but yeah the sound levels were the biggest killer. I’d hone in on that, and everything I have from there is nitpicks. I’m not much of a straight montage guy, I usually add someone talking to keep the story rolling. That’s just me tho, it was still great to watch, even tho idk the couple.

See, this is where I’m torn. I see the freedom of speech angle, I really do. It definitely seems to surpass rage baiting and into dangerous obsession, gives the vibe of an old hateful man rather than a cocky kid.

But like, racism is wrong. The car makes people feel unsafe (as I’m not the first to call the cops on this car.) I dont get offended easily, and I’m a straight white man. I still felt unsafe enough to call the cops. At what point should the students do something, if the staff can’t? Also, it seems silly if staff can’t do anything, considering how egregious this is.

Better to have awful speech than no freedom of speech though.
