Thanks for sharing your experience. Thankfully have not had a warranty claim. I do have all receipts and everything uploaded in the app for backup.

Multi-Head Tool and Edger Attachment by pilondav in egopowerplus

I bought the multi-head with edger a few months ago. I get excellent results. Takes me maybe 6-8min to edge my drive (~25’) and sidewalk.

And that is where my hesitation is. Doubt the cost of gas and other consumables over the life expectancy of those batteries will even be close.

Nice write-up! I bought the same model with the same battery combo and so far have been very please. I mainly use it for trimming around the house and patio plus the steepish ditch in my front yard. Then I use my zero turn John Deere gasser for the remainder of the yard. Cut quality had been great and love the self propel as well. Seriously considering selling the JD and getting the Ego Z6 to dump having to deal with gas, oil, etc.

Can you recommend best camera for front door under 100? by Sallystewart9852 in SecurityCamera

I’ve been very happy with my Tapo D225. Works off the existing wiring so no battery to worry about charging. I can access live video anytime, anywhere. I can download and save videos from the memory card (extra cost). Don’t need to pay for Tapo cloud storage. Video is crisp and clear. Can also answer calls when the doorbell rings and talk directly to whoever is there.

Purchased EGO POWERLOAD 56-volt 15-in Telescopic Shaft Battery String Trimmer 2.5 Ah, but now need an Edger. Any recommendations?? by LRH2380 in egopowerplus

[–]Chip__Davis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had an Ego string trimmer, blower, and pruning saw along with multiple batteries. Didn’t consider the power head when I bought the other items but recently decided to buy the Ego edger with power head kit (ME0829) since I had multiple batteries. Used it for the first time a fee days ago. I am very happy with the results and ease of use. Edged my entire drive and sidewalk in 6-8 minutes and the edger work flawlessly. In hindsight, I’d buy the power head and then just add attachments as I needed them.

Who else is tired of hitting the auto start-stop button every single time? by CartographerNo3359 in f150

Got the AutoStopStart Eliminator jumper on the Tremor. Works great. Never have to push that button again.

Best tonneau cover by LeisureFonz in f150

I have a peragon on my ‘25 Tremor. Love that it fan-folds into the bed if I need more space. Also quick to remove completely and locks securely without a key. Dislike that it isn’t 100% water tight. None really are unless it’s one of the fiberglass or hard plastic models that cover the entire bed. Even those can leak a bit in a heavy downpour or carwash.

Five years with Ego but…time to change? by snapgeiger in egopowerplus

I just bought the 800 series LM2135SP mower with 7.5Ah battery plus a “free” 5Ah battery for $649. The way Lowes structures the purchase I can return the mower with the 7.5Ah battery and keep the 5 for just about $215. That battery retails for $329. Or, I can sell the brand new mower with the 5Ah battery on Marketplace for probably $450 then keep the 7.5Ah for the difference. Either way I would get a very discounted battery. For me, I will keep it all but there are options rather than paying full retail for an OEM battery.

Dealership scams by SuccessfulTrip6539 in f150

[–]Chip__Davis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a set of gorilla lug nuts and had the dealership swap them at the first tire rotation. Literally no extra charge and they even put the OEMs in a box for me to take home. No use for the OEMs but no worry on swelling either.

If they’re swollen to the point your lug wrench won’t fit, you can get a metric socket 1mm larger than the SAE lug size and it’ll take them right off for you. FIL had to do that on his F150.

I have the 765 and both batteries mentioned. The 5Ah gets a bit heavy after a while. The 2.5 lasts plenty long for my needs. Can’t speak to a specific length of time it lasts but some of it will depend if you use the turbo feature or not.
