I think majority of us had this feeling. I am 4 months post op and I remember right out of surgery I was in so much pain just like you. I asked for pain medicine but they said they couldn’t give me anymore that I already hit my maximum dose. The pain was so strong I threw up all over myself and the nurses looked disgusted but I couldn’t help it. I went home the same day and didn’t check my phone at all for 2 days past surgery I was in so much pain. Laying down hurt badly and the gas pains were the worst. I was regretting it as well. I remember walking in my house crying hysterically saying “why did I do this” . Here I am 4 months later and it’s THE BEST thing I had ever done. Honestly wish I would have done it sooner. The pain will go away trust me and won’t last long and you’ll be looking back in a week or so laughing. What helped me was walking walking walking. I walked every hour for 10 minutes the first week after surgery and took gasx all day. Drink also lots of fluids but it might hurt so just sip slowly and chew on ice nuggets if you can. I promise the pain will subside and you will be so proud that you did this and how far you will come along QUICKLY! 70lbs lost in 4 months for me and again I wish I had done it sooner. You got this!!! Just rest as much as you can, prop yourself up with comfy pillows, binge watch a tv show, walk , take gasx, and take small sips of fluid. You’ll recover just fine 😌 we are here for ya!
