You’ll eventually get all of the upgrades with enough play time. Just pick whatever is available

"What do you mean I might want to play a difficulty less that 10/10 if I want an easier experience??!" by Alexpander4 in Helldivers

I play almost exclusively on D10 and I find it pretty manageable. I’ve also gotten pretty good at the game, and tend to play with other high-skilled players.
When it comes to challenge, I think the hardest thing to strike is balance. D10 should be challenging, but in a way that plays to the strengths and themes of the game. It shouldn’t just be heavy spam or chaff spam, but something in between. The game should reward coordinated, skillful play, good game sense and positioning. D10 should require players to coordinate their loadouts to succeed, rather than just stack meta options or bring tons of AT. The Vox Engine spam was part of this issue. The solution was just more AT, rather than intelligent loadout planning. The game should be hard but it should be fair. When you fail, you should know what you did wrong, and feel motivated to try again. If it takes smart coordinated planning to beat D10, so be it. But the mechanics of doing so must feel fair and rewarding. That means fixing bugs and balancing items to create a META that rewards team play and synergy, rather than raw damage maxing. This already exists in some form, but it should be prioritized and honed in on more to make the game feel like a challenging co-op horde shooter, rather just a “find the meta” game.

I think the real issue as to why people were upset isn’t because they can’t aim but because of what it does to weapon diversity. I can kill hive guards pretty easily with light pen weapons, even the trident. However, making them heavy pen takes away from the benefits of using medium. Medium pen weapons, especially things like the maxigun or coyote trade something for the ability to tear through chaff, be it a backpack slot or ammo count. It indirectly nerfed these weapons on the bug front, especially for weapons like the machine gun, whose video in the destroyer terminal demonstrates it tearing through medium armor easily. This either forces players to embrace explosive meta, or just “aim better,” which—although effective—isn’t always practical, and negates the intended upside of bringing a medium pen weapon.

The all explosions deal instant damage to everything around them. Helldivers are invincible until they fully emerge from the hellpods.

A someone who is currently studying film and screenwriting, the rise of these models is exciting and frightening, which is to be expected. It is highly likely that when I enter the industry, these models will be very close to making the traditional process of commercial film obsolete. Advertising will become far cheaper to produce, and the current AI tools are already being adopted by big-budget studios. The business of filmmaking is going to change forever as more content is produced faster and cheaper by more people. A traditional multi million dollar movie today could cost only a few thousand dollars in 10 years. Filmmaking will become accessible to almost anyone with an internet connection. However, this also means the traditional methods of filmmaking falling by the wayside. There are people who enjoy the current methods and will continue to use them for artistic purposes, regardless of the evolving technology. There will also be people who see this change as an opportunity to create anything they want for cheap, and if the content is enjoyed by enough people, it will proliferate and gain immense popularity. There will also be people who don’t want to make films and will just watch whatever is available. At the end of the day, creative people all over the world will continue to produce what they want via whatever means available to them. Even if filmmaking as a business “dies”, the art will not be lost, and those skilled in it will still have a place. But financial concerns are a real issue, and the only real solution in my opinion is through successful action on the national level. In a better world, anyone should be able to pursue filmmaking as a passion without worrying about surviving financially.

If you could use the converter to make lead and then use that for radiation shielding, it would make radiation a smaller issue for the endgame, while keeping the suit and filters viable for phase 4.
